The rushing yards are too damn high (don't worry I'll get in on it soon).

Meredith isn't really having the kind of season we had hoped for in his return to rule the Kingdom but Jennings is like don't worry I got you.. Could we see a Tavon Logan type season

Not bad for a chicken shit program eh?

We will likely see them again, which I would prefer honestly. If the Orange somehow beat the Canes, I don't think it'll be a very close matchup

we've got the best OL line in the country and an All-American back. What else ya want me to do brodieHe's got 1700 and counting with at least four games to go (Pitt, Liberty, ACC CCG, then at least one playoff game). Would need another 1,000 over the last four or so to touch the record by Barry. Tall task even with the big season.
Only one thing can stop him....

Jennings To Miss Trip To Pittsburgh To Attend Grandfathers Funeral

Conway, SC. - While the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers prepare to head north for their final conference matchup against the Pittsburgh Panthers, Heisman contender Cornell Jennings will be taking a different flight home. The junior running back will return to Gilbert, Arizona, to attend the funeral of his grandfather, Cornelius Jennings, who passed away suddenly on Wednesday.
“This is a hard moment for Cornell and for the entire Chanticleer family,” said head coach Kade Vaughn after Friday’s practice, which Jennings did not attend. “His grandfather was with him when he first visited Conway before joining the team this offseason, and he’s been a constant presence throughout the year. Our hearts and prayers are with him during this difficult time.”
Cornelius Jennings raised Cornell from the age of 10 after both of his parents were killed in a car accident. He remained a central figure in Cornell’s life, mentoring and coaching him through his high school career and into college.
Jennings, who was not made available for comment, is expected to return to Conway following the funeral and could be back in time for the Chanticleers’ season finale against Liberty. However, Coach Vaughn noted that the decision will rest entirely with his star back.
“Everyone manages grief differently,” Vaughn said. “He told me this morning that his grandfather would want him to play in the finale — especially with a Heisman potentially on the line — but we told him that if circumstances change, he has our full support.”

Pittsburgh, PA. - Even without Heisman contender Cornell Jennings, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers didn’t skip a beat thanks to the best performance of the season from their veteran quarterback.
Fredrick Meredith, often criticized throughout the year for his inconsistency and turnovers, delivered a statement game in Coastal’s 51–17 rout of Pittsburgh. The junior threw for 373 yards and six touchdowns, including a blistering 8/10, 173 yard, four-touchdown first half that powered a 37-point explosion before the break.
“It felt good; great, actually,” Meredith said after the win. “This is the kind of performance we’ve wanted all year.”
Both teams traded quick three-and-outs to open the game, but Coastal struck first in bizarre fashion. A perfectly placed punt pinned Pitt at its own 1-yard line, and on the next play, quarterback Montrell Osgood tried to dump the ball off to his halfback Cordell Davis in the end zone. Davis was immediately crushed by safety Keke Allotey, resulting in a safety and the first points of what turned into another Coastal avalanche.
By halftime, the Chanticleers led 37–3, with Meredith carving up the Panthers’ secondary and the defense dominating the trenches. Osgood found rhythm in the third quarter, leading a pair of scoring drives, but by then the damage was long done.
With Jennings sidelined, backup running back Fredrick McCallum shined in an expanded role, totaling 149 yards and two touchdowns between rushing and receiving. The sophomore is expected to take over the lead back duties next season should Jennings declare for the NFL Draft.
The win moved Coastal to 11–0 on the season and extended their remarkable 27-game winning streak, keeping their repeat championship hopes alive.
Next up, the Chanticleers return home for Senior Night against archrival Liberty (9–2); a team that’s never beaten Kade Vaughn since his arrival in Conway.

Osgood avoided the sack for a safety, instead settling for the tackle for loss safety.

If not for the lack of touchdowns, Osgood had a serviceable day going 22/31 for 255 yards and this touchdown to HB Cordell Davis.
