you better schedule a gauntlet in independent play or its a pussy move
I had at least 10 pre-season ranked opponents each of my two independent years. Ball in your court homie
Also, you better pray UCLA pulls off a miracle cause Ohio State built different
JMU going to get a playoff win before Coach Crashout!?

man that road to the championship is going to be a tough one. Do you have a preference on who you will face in the Quarterfinals? Nice move away from the ACC, or should I say ASS. Being an independent sounds like a great move with the flexibility.

Oregon, Ohio State and Bama. Going through two of them to get a championship chance. Good luck.
Going independent so you can bail on a bowl game if you don’t like it. Smart choice.
Have some balls and let each person here pick an opponent for you.

that would be interesting with letting everyone pick a game hmm maybe i'll let the top 3 of the bets each pick oneShireNiner wrote: ↑12 Dec 2025, 14:08Oregon, Ohio State and Bama. Going through two of them to get a championship chance. Good luck.

Not really since it'd be a high rated team anyway. At some point, we're going to have to play the likes of Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon, Georgia or USC so might as well get it out of the way early lmaoYaBoyRobRoy wrote: ↑12 Dec 2025, 13:57man that road to the championship is going to be a tough one. Kyrie Louis joins Herschel Walker, Frank Sinkwich as first Georgia Bulldog to win the Heisman since 1982
Jessica West -- SI.com
The bronzed status is heading back to Athens after a nearly 50-year drought with Georgia wide receiver Kyrie Louis winning the Heisman, becoming the first Bulldog to do since 1982 when Herschel Walker took home the award.
The Atlanta native caught 105 passes for 1732 yards and twenty-four touchdowns, icing the award with a three-touchdown performance against Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.
He edged out finalists Cliff Schaefer (TCU), teammate James Gore and Trumaine Lasike (Stanford).
Louis is the first receiver to win the award since 2026 when Jeremiah Smith was the third consecutive receiver to win it after Travis Hunter and Chris Brazzell the previous seasons. A quarterback had won it in each of the last three seasons.

Stanford All-American linebacker Manu Toomer to miss the postseason
Michael Harrell
December 28, 2030, 07:29 PM ET

Stanford linebacker Manu Toomer underwent surgery to repair a tear in his Achilles and will miss the postseason, Stanford head coach Bubba Mack confirmed on Friday during his media availability.
Toomer, who took home All-American honors along with the Dick Butkus Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Chuck Bednarik Award, leads the team with twenty-nine tackles for loss and is second with 112 tackles. Toomer picked up the injury during the ACC Championship Game against SMU where he had six tackles and two tackles for loss in the Cardinal's 42-19 win over the Mustangs.
Stanford will be without their best defensive player when they face off against a Ohio State team on New Year's Day that features two talented running backs in Ian Gee and Kevonne Cook who have combined for twenty touchdowns this season.
Replacing Toomer in the SMU game was Alec Dalton, the 210-pound safety who came into the game with Stanford already leading. The third linebacker, behind Toomer and Isaiah Lanovoi, is redshirt junior Richard Caussin. Caussin has 39 tackles on the season with an an interception. He stepped in for Toomer last season and finished with 52 tackles and eleven tackles for loss.

QB Garrison Doman (R-Sr) | 6′3″, 213LBS | 94 OVR, 92 SPD, 96 ACC, 92 THP, 95 SAC, 88 MAC, 92 DAC‣ Doman was a Heisman finalist snub after throwing for forty-five touchdowns to just three interceptions, including a coming out performance against Georgia earlier this season when he threw for three touchdowns. He's thrown for six touchdowns in four different games this season, including against Michigan and then followed it up with a four touchdown performance against UCLA. He's a big time playmaker that's capable of making any throws and when need be, he can scramble as well and pick up chunks.
WR Chauncey Pool (R-Sr) | 6′2″, 217LBS | 94 OVR, 93 SPD, 95 ACC, 90 COD, 93 CTH, 99 RLS‣ Doman's top target is Pool who might not have the PR of a Jeremiah Smith or Marvin Harrison Jr. but he is just as good. He waited his return and flashed last season after being a backup for two seasons, not including a redshirt year, but since then, he's turned into one of college football's best receivers with 32 touchdowns in the last two seasons. He'll be a matchup nightmare for the Cardinal secondary that's struggled with bigger receivers that are able to make contested catches.
S Eric Contreras (Soph) | 6′0″, 190LBS | 80 OVR, 87 SPD, 90 ACC, 84 COD, 84 MCV, 82 ZCV, 80 TKL‣ If there is a weakness in Ohio State's defense, it's Contreras who is a solid, college level safety but doesn't offer nothing special. He's good in coverage, good against the run and is a a smart player but he doesn't have the worldly abilities of this teammates. Opposing teams have gone at him but he's held his own with two pass breakups and two interceptions. If the Cardinal can isolate him with Rodney Cookus, that might be their best chance at a big play.
