Cam Ward back at practice following injury scare while Edgerrin Cooper's status remains in limbo
Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward was a full-participant in Wednesday's practice, putting the MVP front-runner on track to play this Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Ward missed of last week's game against the Green Bay Packers after sustaining a chest injury in the first half that Titans head coach Steve Jackson described as a bruise. Rookie quarterback Julian Lewis, who also left the game with an injury, was a limited participant on Wednesday.
A player that we know won't play this week is linebacker Edgerrin Cooper who could miss several weeks after picking up a knee injury. ESPN reported that Cooper suffered a cartilage tear in his right knee which puts his status for the playoffs in question. Against Green Bay, safety Rasheem Biles slid into the weakside linebacker spot while Whit Weeks bumped over to replace Cooper.
Cedric Gray is a name to watch as the long-term Cooper replacement with 27 tackles on the season, including four on Sunday against Green Bay. Taurean York is another potential option.
