From the Ashes.

Biggest takeaways as Miami football's fall camp is well underway
By Israel Rivers, 247 Sports Miami Hurricanes Publisher
Ten practices in, the jitters and early sloppiness have been worked out as the Miami Hurricanes continue to head towards the season opener against Auburn in their quest for a third consecutive national championships.
The Hurricanes feature several new faces, both transfers and high school signings, at important positions as well as some familiar faces taking on new roles, needing to replace nine starters on offense and eight on defense.
Here are some takeaways from the practices that were open to the media as well as insights from those within the program.
1. Miami doesn't have anyone that can guard Max North, and neither might the country
Five-star receiver Max North came to Miami with a ton of hype and didn't waste any time making an impact, catching eight touchdowns as a true freshman.
North was pivotal in last year's championship squad as well but with Davon Momah and Miguel Escobar no longer here, his role should take another step forward and he seems more than capable of filling in those big shoes.
The six-foot-six speedster has been unguardable at times, reeling in touchdowns of multiple varieties whether blowing by defenders on go-routes, leaping over them on jump balls or catching a simple screen and taking it to the house.
The Hurricanes don't have anyone that so far can match up with North and the scary thing is neither might the country as his combination of size, speed and smoothness is just too much for most defensive backs to handle.
2. The interior defensive line has a chance to be uber disruptive
The move inside has been a natural one for JaMichael Sloman, who was more of a five-technique defensive end as a true freshman anyway. Matched up against slower guard, Sloman's get off and quick hands have made him a truly disruptive force on the inside that's almost guaranteed a quarterback hurry on most snaps.
True freshman Karl Tuten has also flashed, showing the ability to take on and work his way through double teams. When activate, Tuten has been one of Miami's best players, he just needs to be more consistent with his effort and motor.
With Nick Kahn expected to collapse pockets from the edge, if the Hurricanes can also be formidable inside, this defensive line should be one of the best units in the country.
3. Terrance Harris continues to make it interesting
After a slow start to camp where the speed of the game seemed to be too fast for him, true freshman quarterback Terrance Harris has really turned it on in the last two scrimmages.
The media has a tendency to generate controversy when there isn't one so to be clear, Bernie Flowers is Miami's starting quarterback and nothing -- both his play and comments from the coaching staff and players -- seem to indicate that that is changing anytime soon.
However, Harris' play is becoming impossible to ignore, especially in a live environment where his size and mobility get to really shine. Miami should feel really confident in what they have behind Flowers for this season and beyond Harris has the makings of a future star.
4. Broderick Booker might end up being RB1 by the end of fall camp
It didn't take long for true freshman Broderick Booker to start climbing his way up the depth chart after a very impressive summer workout period where he was one of Miami's strongest players and also one of its fastest at an impressive 228 pounds.
He seemed to be competing for that short-yardage role with Kaseem Dalton and trying to carve out a role for himself but he hasn't stopped there, getting first-team snaps in the first scrimmage and then got the bulk of the carries in the latest one.
He might be Miami's most complete back and while he doesn't have the wiggle of an Aidan Teague or Javier Torrez, his ability to get downhill fast and in a hurry could prove to be valuable behind an inexperienced offensive line.
5. The offensive line is a work in progress
Growing pains were expected so it's too early to ring the alarm bells but through the first few weeks of fall camp, Miami's defensive line has consistently bested Miami's offensive line despite the defense featuring younger and just as inexperienced guys outside of Nick Kahn.
Offensive tackle Darrius Keyes has had some good battles with Kahn and so has Enrique Sendejo but the interior has struggled to contain Miami's pass rush.
Miami's defensive line could end up being an all-world unit that everyone struggles with but it hasn't helped instill confidence in an offensive line that is returning just one starter

Miami Hurricanes release official depth chart, updated roster ahead of season opener against Auburn
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports Miami Insider
The quest for a three-peat begins this week when the Miami Hurricanes football team takes on the Auburn Tigers in an historic season opener that will also be the program's first ever SEC game, joining the conference this past summer. The seven time national champions released their first official depth chart of the season, with Bernie Flowers as expected leading the offense at quarterback with receiver Max North making the switch from No. 4 to the No. 1 jersey, awarded to him after a promising sophomore campaign. Tight end Javier Bowie is now wearing the No. 4 jersey. Defensive end Nick Kahn was also awarded the No. 1 jersey on defense after leading the team in sacks as a redshirt freshman last year.
Other notables include freshman Broderick Booker being one of the four co-starters at running back, behind senior Aidan Teague, redshirt sophomore Kaseem Dalton and sophomore Javier Torrez. Booker is one of eight true freshmen to appear on the two-deep depth chart with linebacker Edward Verrier being the other co-starter.

From the Ashes.
I think that's the smallest OL I have ever seen.
