‣ CFB 2030 Regular Season, Week 10 - Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend, Indiana
(7-0, 6-0 ACC) #2 Miami Hurricanes at #4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (8-1, 0-0 Big Ten)

MIA | 7 | 10 | 10 | 7 | 34
ND | 14 | 7 | 3 | 6 | 30

Miami escapes South Bend with comeback victory over rival No. 4 Notre Dame
Kevin Francis transferred to Miami to play in meaningful games. It doesn't get any more meaningful than it being fourth down in the final play of the game to decide the winner between No. 2 Miami and No. 4 Notre Dame in front of Touchdown Jesus.

Francis' hurry on Notre Dame quarterback Manny Coxie's final pass attempt would prove to be the game winner as Coxie's pass fell way short of his target as the Hurricanes secured the 34-30 win over Notre Dame to make a strong case to be next week's top ranked team.

The Hurricanes dazzled when they needed to dazzle and hunkered down when the game got tough and gritty, overcoming a first half turnover that led to a touchdown drive to retake the lead early in the second half with Aidan Teague's rushing touchdown to put them up 24-21. The lead remained at three at as both teams swapped field goals entering the fourth quarter before Notre Dame tied it up with another field goal early in the fourth.

Three plays later, Bernie Flowers threw his second interception of the day on a pass intended for Max North. The Irish were in prime position to take a touchdown lead after getting the ball on the Miami 39-yard line but the drive would sputter out, resulting in a 37-yard field goal.

Notre Dame had another chance to extend their lead following a Miami punt on the ensuing drive but they responded with a three-and-out of their own, giving the Hurricanes another chance to tie the game or take the lead with three minutes left.

Flowers went to work with completions of ten and sixteen yards and then escaped escaped a near sack to pick up seventeen yards and get the ball to Notre Dame 7-yard line with 1:49 remaining where two plays later, Kaseem Dalton punched it in.

The Irish, with all three timeouts, did not go down without a fight as Coxie completed passes of fourteen, sixteen and then twenty six yards on third down to get the ball to the Miami ten-yard line but a surprising decision to run the ball from the Miami five-yard line with no timeouts left caused the Irish to have to waste a down on a spike, leading to the eventual fourth down play that fell incomplete.

Good thing your defense stepped things up in the second half. Looked at upset alert there for a second.

Miami closes the gap with Oregon with commitment from top-200 safety Marques Groy
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports Miami Insider

One of the top ranked safeties in high school football is headed to Miami after four-star safety Marques Groy from the Orlando area committed to the Hurricanes over Florida State and Georgia.

Groy is the latest member of Miami's 21-deep recruiting class, which currently sits second to Oregon following the Ducks recent string of commitments that saw them leapfrog Miami, buoyed by 24 four-star commitments compared to Miami's nine. The Hurricanes still hold the edge in five-stars with four compared to Oregon's three.

As a prospect, Groy is your traditional box safety at 222 pounds with the ability and willingness to help out against the run and be a forceful finisher when making contact. There are valid concerns on his fluidity and whether a transition to linebacker is inevitable but the Hurricanes have shown a willingness to play bigger safeties such as Martin Casillas, who came in with similar concerns out of the transfer portal from Louisville.

The Hurricanes have also transitioned some of those stiffer safeties like Paul Rhinehart and Alec Lawrence to linebacker where they've achieved success.

Bernie to the defense

(I think the ND box score is messed up cause you show 7 in the 4th but no scores in the summary)
