Cooks looks scary for y'all

He 'cooked' us last game, need the boys to step up after the SEC Championship Game

If we can get past them (again), I don't really see anyone else outside of Oregon, who we beat last year, that can stop us from the 3-peat

Miami defensive coordinator Sky Magee expected to be hired at Auburn as next head coach
Manny Ledo -- The Miami Herald Sports Columnist

As expected, Auburn University is finalizing a deal to make Miami Hurricanes defensive coordinator Sky Magee the school's next head coach, replacing the fired Tim Skipper who was relieved of his duties following a three-win season that featured just one SEC win for the Tigers.

Magee has been Miami's defensive coordinator for the past four seasons, joining the Hurricanes from Liberty where he helped lead the Flames to an undefeated regular season back in 2023 and a victory in the Conference USA Football Championship game. Magee also interviewed for the Florida State head coaching job, which was awarded to Tulane's John David Baker.

The Hurricanes have won two national championships with Magee as defensive coordinator and are in contention for a third, where Magee is expected to carry out his current duties as Miami's defensive coordinator as head coach Mario Cristobal will look for a replacement.

Current Hurricanes offensive coordinator Chris Weinke, who some linked to Florida State, his alma mater, is rumored to be one of the top candidates for the Nebraska head coaching gig, which would put Miami on the market for two coordinators after having the same for the past four seasons.

Alabama ends Miami's reign with second half comeback win over the Hurricanes
The Miami Hurricanes kept Alabama's offense under wraps, until they didn't and when the flood gates broke open, there was no stopping the Crimson Tide as Matthew Hurtado threw five touchdown passes to dethrone the Hurricanes and end their quest for a third consecutive national championship with Alabama's 38-24 win in New Orleans.

Miami was leading 10-0 when DeMarco Cooks got behind the Hurricanes' secondary in the closing minute of the first half, injecting life into Alabama's locker room at the half and tilting momentum in their favor. It would be the first of three consecutive touchdowns by Alabama to take a 21-10 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Miami would fight back, making it a one possession game early in the fourth quarter but they still had no answers for Alabama's offense who scored seventeen points in five minutes to make it 38-16 with four minutes left in the game. Bernie Flowers would throw a touchdown pass in the last three minutes of the game to make the score more respectful.

I tried to go deep a few times to Max but just couldn't. Once that was happening and we were trailing, realized we were cooked
