Week 3 Preview: vs. #12 Ohio State Buckeyes
Last Year's Record: 14-2, 7-2 Big Ten, National Champion
Record: 1-1, 0-0 Big Ten
Head Coach: Ryan Day
Offensive Scheme: Spread
Defensive Scheme: 4-2-5
Team Schedule
vs. #1 Georgia (1-3): L 52-41
vs. Youngstown State (FCS): W 56-10
Team Leaders
Passing: Henry Delos 67 cmp%, 580 yards, 7 TD, 1 INT, 180.3 passer rating
Rushing: Ian Gee 186 yards, 7.2 ypc, 2 TD
Receiving: Randy Rossi 13 receptions, 149 yards, 4 TD
Defense: Adrian Huval 8 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 sacks
Injuries
G Shaquille Marks (Senior) Torn Pectoral (Season)
CB Chauncey Ankrah (Senior) Quad Tear (Out)
Players to Watch
QB Henry Delos (R-Jr) | 6′1″, 214LBS | 93 OVR, 86 SPD, 93 ACC, 91 COD, 93 THP, 94 SAC, 96 MAC, 84 DAC
‣ Stanford went after Delos hard in the portal after he put up back-to-back 3,500+ yard seasons at Penn State with sixty touchdowns in two years but Delos ultimately chose the Buckeyes. Even in the loss to Georgia, Delos shined for 264 yards and three touchdowns. Stanford completely shut down Florida's offense but Delos is better than Terrence Urbik, more experienced and has better talent around him.
WR Lee Wonnum (R-Jr) | 5′7″, 182LBS | 90 OVR, 96 SPD, 95 ACC, 97 COD, 98 CTH, 82 RLS
‣ We've seen this defense get beat deep, dating back to the last two seasons, and Wonnum is one of the faster receivers in the country. Stanford has an experienced bunch at corner but they have some physical limitations, outside of nickel Kentrell Marvin, who will have his hands full with Sherwin Johnson in the slot and Randy Rossi is another threat on the outside capable of making big plays, not allowing the Stanford defense to focus on any one player.
CB Tobias Montague (R-Jr) | 5′10″, 207LBS | 95 OVR, 99 SPD, 99 ACC, 90 COD, 90 MCV, 97 ZCV, 79 PRESS
‣ Montague had five interceptions on last year's national championship defense and he already had an interception on the year and has surrendered just two catches in two games. They'll throw different bodies at Rodney Cookus to slow down Stanford's top receiver but when he is matched up with Montague, that should be a fun one to watch as no one has been able to beat him deep in the last two seasons.
Hard Rock Bet™
Spread: Ohio State -3
Moneyline: Stanford +135
Over: 66.5
Place your bets and I'll keep track of your winnings/loss throughout the season. The winner's (by percentage with a minimum of 16 bets placed) team of choice will get a rating's bump and choose which conference to be the commissioner of for the following season to select my schedule. The second place will have second choice on which conference and so forth for third and fourth place.

Yeah, I'll take the over and Stanford to cover once again. This offense is cooking with grease.

Stanford cover (unfortunately) and the under
Zero chance you don't get revenge for last year's playoff and make Helos regret his decision.

Do I keep trusting this bum? That receiver looks like a robo QB dream.
But we'll keep with the trend.
Stanford to cover, Stanford to win.
