I always try and keep the stats pretty sim like and not have any crazy high numbers. Its cost me some awards, but I always get turned off when I see a super unrealistic stats. I am going to try and get someone the Heisman this next year.

Massive New OC Hired

Before the playoffs started we posted about how Boss Hogg fired 2-time national champ coordinator Scott Frost. The gamble has paid off, and we have brought back our old OC Greg Harbough Jr (no relation). Greg was the first ever OC we hired and then went on to become the Iowa head coach until he was fired this year. Even though Greg's coach prestige is just a C+ Boss thinks it's an upgrade over Scott. Since his coaching skill trees are better and he has similar level. Greg has at least tier 2 for all positions on offense and defense and all 4 for WR/TE/ DB. There's some controversial over if the defense skills matter, but at worst his offense does. The most important factor is we now double up on talent developer with us and our OC. As you will see from all the players we had drafted this year it was a heck of a year to get x2 bonus

x2 Bonuses Now for Talent Developer

QB
Tier 1 - Extra XP for current players when players get drafted

HB / FB
Tier 1 - Extra XP for current players when players get drafted
Tier 2 - Freshman and Sophomore progress faster

WR / TE
Tier 1 - Extra XP for current players when players get drafted
Tier 2 - Freshman and Sophomore progress faster
Tier 3 - Starters gain more XP

OL
Tier 1 - Extra XP for current players when players get drafted

DL
Tier 1 - Extra XP for current players when players get drafted
Tier 2 - Freshman and Sophomore progress faster

LB
Tier 1 - Extra XP for current players when players get drafted
Tier 2 - Freshman and Sophomore progress faster

DB
Tier 1 - Extra XP for current players when players get drafted
Tier 2 - Freshman and Sophomore progress faster
Tier 3 - Starters gain more XP

5 Biggest Portal Additions
Note - This will be my last post for a week and a half or so as I'll be out of town.

Instead of a long recruiting recap we are just going to focus on the 5 biggest portal additions. Since the high school class isn't expected to play much of a role next year. All ratings are after offseason training, and we went into the portal with DB being a major need. We were comfortable with all 4 returning HB's starting, but also need to add a few for depth.

C Curtis Bono (95)
We were pretty loaded at OL and now we are beyond loaded. We brought back C Barry Dombrowski who we had last year and despite normal dev he has platinum inside shield and 97 run blocking. We also signed a true freshman former 5* from Ohio State Kurt Epperson (83) who was a bit disappointing just impact dev. The best player we signed a top 10 player from Kentucky Curtus Bono who has elite dev. He is a agile C with platinum quick drop, quick step and screen enforcer as well as silver option shield and outside shield. He has 98 run blocking, 91 pass and 99 strength so they don't get much better then him. Our C from last year is back with 5 platinum abilities so one of them will start at RG.

HB Robert Ramsay (90)
The top HB on our board and we love players like Robert a senior which comes over from Miami. He has only 10 career carries and 4 of those went for TDs. We love him because he is a north / south blocker with speed which means we can play him at any of our HBs/ FB spots. He has 94 speed, 90 accel so he can get the corner and break off a big run. He has 90 strength with gold strong grip and platinum side kick so has the power and blocking. He excels in power with 96 trucking, 92 stuff arm, 91 break tackle with platinum headfirst and gold balanced. We aren't sure just yet which HB spot he will play. We also signed Steven Leamon (94) a converted gadget WR with 95 speed who will leave early for the NFL draft. We also signed Carl Nailor (88) a contact seeker with 94 trucking that's not likely to play much

CB David Cash (95)
A top 5 player in the class from Ole Miss after starting his career at Southern Miss. The Senior is a bit odd of a player with a 91-base rating in run stopping and power. He is solid in speed (93) and coverage and has gold jammer at 6'1. This was a majoR get along with his team mate below as we had just 2 CB's on the roster and one of them was normal dev.

CB Finau Yee (93)
We stole not 1 but 2 CB's from Ole Miss and Yee is another senior that will get drafted. He had 55 tackles and 4 interceptions last year and has 7 career interceptions. We like Yee better at 6'1 with 97 speed and platinum jammer. His man coverage is better than zone and overall both are in mid 80's. We aren't sure why a CB would need platinum quick jump, but he has that as well. We also added Sophomore Shaw Armour (85) with star dev and Lamar Pyke (84) a junior for some much needed depth. This will allow us to redshirt all 4 of the CB's we signed which were all 4* and 3 of them at least star dev.

FS Erick Heaps (92)
We needed S depth and Heaps was a elite player in class on paper. However, he is a box specialist and we don't like that type of player since they don't have coverage abilities. A starter at Notre Dame the last 2 years had 49 tackles and 3 interceptions last year. He is more of a balanced type with no standout skills outside of platinum blow up. He will be 2nd string at both S spots so will play in a few formations. His star dev trait helped get the overall up so we can get him drafted this year. We also signed Alexander Hutton (88) a fellow senior for the #2 SS.

The cruise ended up going well. From this side of things I came home with some electrical issues which includes my router for internet. Since this is a online dynasty looks like it will be a few more days until I can fire it back up. I really hope they let me use team builder offline next year

Best Player = FS Angel Johnson (99)
Best Returning Starter = FS Angel Johnson (99)
Freshman Impact = DE George Paxson (81)
Breakout Player = LB Gideon Cobbs (86)
X Factor = DE Isaac Harper (90)
Underrated = LB Clyde O'Connor (87)
Strength = DB
Weakness = Rush DE

_________________________________________

3 Biggest Questions

1. Will a pass rusher step up?

2. Is Angel Johnson the most talented player in hazzard history?

3. How will the new portal additions do at CB?
__________________________________________________________________________

Scouts Take
Not a lot of holes on this defense the closest you will find is not a proven elite pass rusher. They will need some talented and unproven former 5*s to step up like Harper, Paxson and Awesome. O'Connor at LB is underrated this is year 4 starting for him and he is around 300 career tackles. The former 5* Cobbs finally gets the chance to start and at 243 pounds has 97 accel and coverage skills. The DB room is much better the pair of ole miss CBs were huge and this is one of the best DB rooms they have had. It all starts with Angel Johnson 3 platinum abilities basically a perfect player with speed and coverage.
_____________________________________________

DL Preview
A pair of seniors lead the DT room Mondeaux (94) a elite NT with 99 block shed, 99 strength and gold grip breaker. gold outside disruptor and platinum inside disruptor. Junior Chet McGann who had 6 sacks last year also will play at DT and just ok depth behind them. Isaac Harper a former 5* with elite dev has the pressure to be the #1 guy after just 2.5 sacks the last 2 years. He has the skills 99 strength, 95 power move, platinum grip breaker and pocket disruptor but just ok block shed. Spencer Stubbs (88) also will start with platinum inside and outside disruptor and 97 block shed. Senior Slade Carnes (86) just 1 career sack also must step up and has 96 strength and platinum take down. He could also play some rush DT for us since he is 262 pound. Former 5* George Paxson with 84 speed, 91 power move and gold pocket disruptor will be a starting rush DE. Ian Awesome (79) a 5* with just impact dev will also be a backup.

LB Preview
Clyde O'Connor (89) is back for year 4 starting and has 276 career tackles and 9 sacks. He doesn't have elite abilities but has speed, coverage and tackling. Former 5* Gideon Cobbs finally gets to start as a true junior and he will have a monster year and had 32 tackles as a backup last year. The 243 pounder has 90 speed, 97 accel with platinum robber and gold knockout. We only play 2 LBs on most downs but have great depth like seniors Jayden Robbins (92), Ben Witherspoon (88) and Louis Lincoln (90). Louis has 88 speed, 94 tackle, 91 zone with platinum wrap up and blow up while Robbins has 89 speed, 97 tackling and platinum wrap up. We also have 2 5* true freshman we will need to play enough to keep happy so they can start next year.

DB Preview
It all starts with Angel Johnson (99) basically a flawless player with 98 speed, 98 accel, 99 zone,97 play rec, 95 awareness, platinum ballhawk, house call and robber then gold knockout thrown in. He has nearly 200 tackles and 9 interceptions the last 2 years. Reggie Addison (91) returns as the other starter and had 60 tackles and 2 interceptions last year. Another coverage guy with platinum robber and ball hawk with speed and 99 zone. Two senior portal guys provide depth where high potential true freshman redshirt. The pair of Ole Miss CB's were major portal gets and both will start and be drafted next year. Cash (95) is the highest rated but his best skill is tackling while. Yee (91) has 97 speed and platinum jammer at 6'1. The nickle CB spot is a bit weak but we have 3 options in the mid 80's with 4 more CB's redshirting.

DB is a good strength to offset the pass rush weakness

That's typically now how I build my teams I like to go DL first as I run a 4-2-5. I just sign a lot of good DB in the portal and my star S came back to school. This is probably the weakest my pass rushers have been on paper in a while
