We know how this one's going to go.

Royce Lafitte needs to give LSU a call about how they're treating his boy.
:alonzoboom:

Dunno if you saw my post in the CB - but LSU brought in a transfer TE who is starting over your boy now. He too high on the depth chart to get the red shirt doe. Gonna waste his sophomore campaign on some bullshit :smh:

Conway, SC. - For a brief moment in the second quarter, it appeared Florida State might challenge Coastal Carolina in their home opener at Brooks Stadium. Despite interceptions on their first two drives leading to a 21-0 hole, the Seminoles charged back. Brian Hurns broke free for a 71-yard touchdown, then on the ensuing Coastal drive, CB Alexander Angel undercut a screen pass and took it to the house.

"This is where we see what these young Chanticleers and first-year coach Brian Hartline are made of," said Chris Burgin, Coastal's play-by-play announcer. "They've finally got someone who took their first punch and swung back. Do they have the mettle to take a blow and keep swinging?"

"60 minutes used to be our motto back in my playing days," Walt Reyna revealed, "And it's one I've been preaching this year. Teams are going to swing back, if for no other reason than to say they hung with us even if they can't beat us. But I've told these guys from Day 1, if we all execute like we're supposed to? Ain't no one hanging with us for a full sixty."

That sentiment rang true again. Coastal answered Florida State's 14-point run by rattling off the final 35 points, taking a 35-14 lead into the break in the eventual 56-14 victory.

When asked postgame if the early surge worried the offense, Prude continued his confident media presence. "Nah, we know what we can do. They can't score with us, so how they going to beat us?"

Prude's Heisman campaign rolled on with another seven touchdowns—five passing, two rushing—as the electric sophomore continues to pace the race early in the season.

After surrendering the 71-yard touchdown, the Coastal defense locked in, finishing with eight sacks while holding FSU to just 153 total passing yards.

The Chanticleers will hit the road again as they prepare for in-state rival Clemson, looking to earn their improbable sixth straight victory in the series.

Prude Ready To Continue Coastal's Dominance Over "Rival" Clemson

Image

Conway, SC. - Anthony Prude hasn't shied away from the spotlight this season, fully embracing his role as the ACC's most outspoken villain while leading an offense that looks poised to shatter records. But ahead of this week's high-profile rivalry game against Clemson, the sophomore quarterback may have taken things to another level.

Prude arrived at Friday's practice wearing a vintage Bryce Underwood jersey, the current Miami Dolphins QB who partnered with Kade Vaughn in Coastal's first win over Clemson back in 2027, and delivered a bold message.

"This isn't a rivalry anymore, it's a showcase," Prude declared. "A showcase for us to any recruits with Clemson and Coastal on their boards. I think Coach Vaughn said it best—for it to be a rivalry, both sides have to win. They've beaten us once since 2027. Once since Bryce and Coach Vaughn stormed into 'the real' Death Valley and showed them boys who really runs the Carolinas."

When asked why he chose to wear the Underwood jersey before dropping that bomb, Prude didn't hold back.

"I'm on my Underwood type shit this season. Going to go into Clemson, show them frauds who really runs the Carolinas, stack another profile win for my Heisman campaign. Cause I'm taking home that trophy this year."

Coastal enters Death Valley looking for their 10th win in the series, holding a commanding 9-2 edge over the Tigers. Clemson won the inaugural matchup in 2009, with their only other victory coming in 2029 after Coastal beat them in both the regular season and the National Championship.

If Prude's confidence is any indication, the Chanticleers aren't planning to let that record slip anytime soon.

Prude running his mouth after half a good season. Sounds like another Baker in the making.

ayy he had 4K and 48 tuddies last year, so he been him. He just isn't quite about it this year.

little inside baseball as djp would say: I can never get a screen of him celebrating, literally throws a touchdown pass and turns and jogs off the field (that being said I finally got one of him doing something next game) so I decided to have him talk his shit off the field lol

I don't know if its the offense, or the players. But yeah, we've been lighting it up this season. All three of my starting receivers are 95+ speed and Prude has 93 speed and 97 THP. There's only so many defenders they can drop in coverage :kghah:

I'm still on the fence. We have the SEC move set up for next season, so if this season keeps going this way we might run out one more just to say we did it in the SEC for a season. But also, 11 years is a solid run if this is the end. But we'll see how it shakes
