I made a mistake, i actually got Bryce Baker from UNC, he just slipped my mind. I tried for Dampier, Hoover and every other QB but got rejected at every turn.

That is a defensive statement win. Not much of an offensive showing but it wasn’t needed in that one.

No doubt — the defense set the tone from the opening snap, but you’re right, we can’t live on that side of the ball alone all season. Someone emerging as a consistent playmaker would completely change the ceiling of this team. The pieces are there; it’s just a matter of who grabs that role.

Absolutely. You take those every time. Even better when it’s one of those games where you never really feel threatened. Sets the tone for what this group can be if the offense catches up.

Exactly — that was a “we’ll handle this” performance from the defense. Not pretty on the other side, but when your front seven is suffocating everything, you don’t need fireworks. Still, you’d love to see the offense build on this instead of relying on the defense to carry the load every week.
