Rangel’s Struggles Stall Virginia Tech’s Playoff Dreams

Blacksburg, VA — Virginia Tech’s recent 4–1 stretch has kept them competitive, but the lone loss proved costly—knocking the Hokies from the ranks of the undefeated and dealing a serious blow to their College Football Playoff hopes and ACC title game chances. Quarterback Garret Rangel has been at the center of the turbulence, completing just over half of his passes with four touchdowns against six interceptions.
