No chance. He's a transfer, came over in the offseason from OK State. He only has 2,268 career rushing yards even with my 500+ yards this year. He does however have a legit chance at breaking Ricky's single season record. If I had him from freshman, he definitely could be up there

Athens, GA. - After cruising through their first three games by an average of 41 points, the Texas Longhorns were finally pushed in Week 4—and the 8th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs delivered that challenge. But when the dust settled, it was the defending national champions who emerged victorious, riding a stingy second-half defensive stand and another monster outing from Barry Orlovsky to a gritty 28–13 win in a rematch of the last two SEC Championship Games.
“I certainly expect to see them again, no doubt,” said HC Nash Savage after the hard-fought battle in Athens. “We’ll be ready.”
It was the first real moment of adversity for redshirt freshman QB Emilio Delgado, who had been steady and efficient through his first three starts. But against Georgia, he was anything but sharp early—throwing three first-half interceptions, including a costly pick-six to All-SEC defensive end Erick Land and an opening drive interception by All-American MLB Joel Bada.
Just like that, Georgia led 10–0. And Sanford Stadium was rocking.
But Delgado didn’t flinch. Facing a short field on the next drive, he found halfback Terry Olson on a swing route to settle things down, setting up the first of four total touchdowns on the day from Orlovsky. It was the spark the Texas offense needed.
Georgia, for all its defensive tenacity, will likely rue its missed chances. After intercepting Delgado on the game’s opening drive and setting up a 1st-and-goal at the Texas 5, the Bulldogs stalled out and settled for just three points. Later in the second quarter, a 43-yard strike from Salako to Cole Soto got them inside the red zone again—but once more, the Longhorns’ defensive front shut the door, forcing another field goal attempt.
Delgado responded with his best drive of the day: a third-and-forever conversion to WR John Silverman followed by another bruising Orlovsky plunge into the end zone. A late interception on a Hail Mary into the end zone brought his turnover count to three in the half, but Texas still held a surprising 14–13 lead at the break.
From there, the Longhorns defense took over.
Texas pitched a second-half shutout, holding the Bulldogs to just 100 total yards over the final two quarters and collecting three sacks—although it could’ve been more if not for the escapability of Georgia QB Dominick Salako.
“He’s slippery, no doubt,” said DE James Mosely, who added another sack to his growing total. “We get good practice chasing guys like that around during the week, so we were ready.”
Still, Georgia remained within striking distance well into the fourth quarter. But on a pivotal 3rd-and-17 from deep in their own territory, Delgado found TE Heath Dalton for a clutch 35-yard corner route. Just three plays later, facing another long third down after a holding penalty, Delgado hit Dalton again—this time for 30 yards—to set up the final touchdown from Orlovsky and effectively seal the win
“That’s why we wanted Dalton down here,” Savage said postgame. “He’s that steady presence. Great hands, great instincts. Exactly what a young QB needs in tough spots.”
Orlovsky continued his torrid pace, rushing for 214 yards and three scores—including a 42-yard receiving touchdown where the bruising back split out wide, dusted safety Cory Lane on a go route, and hauled in a gorgeous over-the-shoulder dime from Delgado.
Elsewhere, Ball State stayed hot with a 49–3 dismantling of No. 18 Wisconsin behind another jaw-dropping outing from reigning Heisman winner Karlos Farris, who torched the Badgers for 177 yards and four touchdowns.
Around the SEC, Oklahoma rolled Florida 47–17, Alabama edged LSU 45–42 in a thriller, and Tennessee handed Ole Miss its first loss of the year, 38–35.
Texas returns home next week to face a reeling Florida Gators squad sitting at 1–2—and desperate to avoid a 1–3 start.

was in the orange during the Georgia game and all the way through the Florida game. I rested him the 2nd half, but you could tell the burst wasn't there as it normally is. Hopefully a half off will get him charged back up!-

By the time cornerback Dominick Lamur snagged a deep ball from John Ittersagen at midfield and Emilio Delgado uncorked a 42-yard bomb to Prince Oluokon, Texas had built an insurmountable 42–0 lead at halftime. The Gators never knew what hit them.
To avoid further embarrassment—or perhaps injury—Florida opted to sit both its starting offense and defense in the second half, turning the final two quarters into little more than a controlled scrimmage.
Texas didn’t fully bench its starters, but HC Nash Savage slowly rotated them out through the third quarter. The first to leave the field, earning a standing ovation, was Orlovsky. While his 86 rushing yards on 21 carries may not pop off the stat sheet, the four-touchdown performance brought his season total to a staggering 17 scores—and his five broken tackles left more bruises than any box score could.
Florida’s only highlight came midway through the fourth quarter when backup QB Terrell Byham led a late scoring drive, capping it with a 1-yard touchdown plunge. It was a brief glimmer in an otherwise demoralizing afternoon for the Gators.

When asked postgame if he’d instructed Delgado to rein in the deep shots after last week’s three-pick performance, Savage didn’t hesitate.
“Not at all,” Savage said, brushing off the suggestion. “That’s why he’s in the lineup. He keeps the defense honest with his deep ball. Every throw won’t be perfect, but if they think he might uncork one, they can’t just load the box on Barry.”
