loved all your moves in the offseason! Like you said AR is built to be a solid madden QB, real life not so much haha. Looking forward to that week 2 matchup with Atlanta, although I didn't really like any moves they made in your posts lol.

the time is now

thanks man! I wanted to snag a CB in the 1st round if a QB wasn't available but all of the good ones went in the first 15. But I think Green is going to be great and that will free up some money to pay a CB in the offseason if one is available.YaBoyRobRoy wrote: ↑29 Sep 2025, 15:33loved all your moves in the offseason! ATL doesn't look much better from last year unfortunately, but maybe Penix will take a step forward

Steelers Prevail In Rainy, Sloppy Affair

Richardson flashed plenty of big play potential in his first official game with three long touchdowns, but also plenty of mistakes in the rain soak affair.

Pittsburgh, PA. - The 2026 season opener at Acrisure Stadium was a wild, rain-soaked roller coaster. Despite a barrage of turnovers from new quarterback Anthony Richardson, the Pittsburgh Steelers escaped with a gritty win over the Dallas Cowboys, holding on until the very last play of the game.
Richardson’s talent was on full display. He uncorked a pair of long touchdown passes — one to veteran star DK Metcalf, another to rookie speedster Zachariah Branch — and electrified the crowd with a 48-yard scramble for a score in the second quarter. It was the exact brand of explosiveness Pittsburgh envisioned when they traded for him.
But the other side of the coin was just as glaring. Richardson threw three interceptions (two his fault, one off a bobble by Metcalf) and coughed up the ball twice inside the Cowboys’ 5-yard line in the fourth quarter, failing to put the game away.
Each mistake left the door open for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys. Despite being sacked six times, Prescott nearly dragged Dallas into overtime. After Richardson’s first goal-line fumble, Prescott moved the Cowboys to midfield before Jalen Ramsey shut the door with back-to-back breakups against CeeDee Lamb.
Yet, Richardson gave Dallas another chance minutes later. Instead of sliding to burn the clock, he attempted to juke a defender at the goal line and lost the ball again. Prescott marched the Cowboys into Steelers territory, but on 4th-and-12, linebacker Payton Wilson registered his second sack of the night. On the final snap, Prescott heaved another desperation shot toward Lamb — and once again, Ramsey was there to break it up.
“The weather conditions obviously made playmaking a gamble, but that’s no excuse,” Richardson said afterward. “I have to do a better job of limiting turnovers, period.”
Head coach Mike Tomlin made his point clear, too.
“We had a long talk after the second fumble,” Tomlin said. “He’s a leader. He needs to put the team first, and in that situation? Slide down, kill the clock. I don’t care if we win by two touchdowns or one point — a win is a win. I expect him to get the turnover issues cleaned up shortly.”
For Pittsburgh, the season begins with a sigh of relief — and a reminder of both the risks and rewards that come with handing the keys to Anthony Richardson.

inaccurate in real life? Yes. In Madden, he wild but that 99 THP makes up for it.
And Smith wasn't blamed for the interceptions, but the uninspired playbook that featured a lack of innovation, sir.
