:rockclap: grats on the Natty. Already a legend in Pullman just three years in

I concur with making the conference stronger. With WSU getting a Natty it'll bring some of the shine back to the conference and with other schools that left, now struggling, could be realistic to see them come back, Oregon being the outlier
Yeah if I move Washington and UCLA back I am not sure why I would leave Oregon and USC in the Big Ten, but I might. Same with the Big 12. If I move Utah and Arizona I sorta feel like I should move ASU and BYU. Right now if I did that, I would probably move Rice, Texas State, UTSA and Colorado State to the Big 12 to replace them, then look at moving Texas and Oklahoma and possibly TAMU back to the Big 12 as well and send Missouri back to the SEC..

I really didn't plan on winning a Natty in Year 3 landing Nelson/Owens were vital additions at QB and landing Doll/Powell via the portal at RB as well as the landing Creer in my first recruiting class played a very big part my dominating offense and having 8 starters on Defense for 3 years paid off despite the fact they didn't put up big # with sacks and INT's they came up with 3rd down stops when they needed them.

2029 WSU MEDIA GUIDE
THE SCHEDULE
Week 1 @ BYU
Week 2 vs Arkansas State
Week 3 @ #11 Washington
Week 4 vs #23 Stanford
Week 5 vs Texas State
Week 6 vs UTSA
Week 7 @ Cal
Week 8 vs Oregon State "Senior Night"
Week 9 @ #17 Boise State
Week 10 "Bye"
Week 11 @ Colorado State
Week 12 @ San Diego State
Week 13 @ Fresno State

This schedule is very much like the 2026 schedule that saw WSU play it's final 4 games of the season on the road making it's Week 8 matchup the Cougars final home game of the season (Senior Day) and with 2 of it's non-conference matchups on the road (BYU and Washington) WSU will play just 5 of it's 12 game schedule at home making iit very difficult for late season recruiting visits.

THE ROSTER

QB
RS JR Calvin Loyd (81)
RS SO Johnathan Provo (79)
RS FR Cortez Ottis (77)
® FR Antwan Beaver (76)
RS JR Julius Flowers (75)

Loyd, a transfer via Colorado, appeared in 7 games last year throwing for 428 yds with 3 TD and 1 INT and rushing for 145 yds and 2 TD.

Provo appeared in 3 games as a True Freshman throwing for 500 yds with 4 TD and 3 INT in 2027. Last year he appeared in 3 games as the #3QB behind Loyd and threw for 217 yds with 1 TD completing 21/36 (58%)

Ottis like Provo is a former 4*who is probably the best pure passer of the entire group. He redshirted last year. Beaver is a 4* Recruit who will redshirt this season well Flowers is a former 3* recruit who has yet to appear in a game.

RB
RS JR Tashuan Dragos (90)
RS JR Clint Powell (88)
RS JR Alex Goings (82)
® FR Cedrick Mangum (79)
® FR Fredrick Anthrop (76)

Dragos, a WR from Texas State moved to RB this during the spring and will push Powell for both carries and catches out of the backfield.. Dragos had 55 rec for 689 yds with 6 TD last year for the Bobcats.

Powell, a transfer from K-State had a breakout season finishing with 142 carries for 808 yds and 11 TD rushing and 91 rec 1084 yds and 8 TD receiving.. Powell was named the National Championship MVP finishing with over 200 combined yards and 2 touchdowns.

Goings is a former Iowa State transfer who spent the bulk of his PT last season on Special teams logging just 3 carries for 26 yds (8.7 avg) well leading the team in KR (32) for 675 yds and PR (38) for 485 yds.

Mangum and Anthrop are 4* Recruits who will redshirt this season but could see action in a few games should Dragos/Powell struggle with injuries.

FB
SR Cliff Provo (78)
RS FR Hasheem Mamula (71)

Provo a former 4* Recruit moved to FB his Freshman year but still managed to log 114 carries for 523 yds and 3 TD rushing and 29 rec for 239 yds and 1 TD receiving. Those #’s have take a hit with the addition of guy’s like Doll and Powell the past 2 seasons but with 63 carries 311 yds and 6 TD’s the past 2 years he still for his career has the most carries and yards of any runner on the team

Mamula is a former 3* TE recruit who is transitioning to FB to allow Provo to fill in as the team’s #3 RB this year at times especially near the goal line.

WR
RS SR Carter Pabst (82)
RS SR Cory Izien (90)
RS SR Brayden Trimble (90)
RS SR Trisitan Glass (82)
RS SR Landon Wright (78)
RS SO Calvin Wayne (90)
RS SO Deon Rugamba (84)
RS FR Oscar Paul (78)
® FR Jordin Lockett (76)
® FR Marquise Bartow (75)

With 5 Senior WR’s on the roster including Pabst who broke a school record with 135 rec 1632 yds and 12 TD and former Missouri State transfer C. Izien (103 rec 1414 yds 12 TD) it appears that former 4* Calvin Wayne will either have to battle it out with transfers Brayden Trimble (72 rec 811 yds 9 TD) and Tristian Glass (3 years-154 rec 2109 yds 14 TD) as the team’s #3 or suffer through another long season on the bench (11 rec 98 yds 1 TD last year). However because the Top-5 WR’s are all Seniors, Wayne is next in line to take over the #1 role in 2030.

TE
SR Caleb Slye (97)
SR Junior Fineaganofo (85)
SO Fetu Ursua (88)
® FR Tyron Jackson (75)

Fineanganofo returns for his final season. Junior spent the bulk of his Freshman year (2026) as TE1 logging 50 rec for 619 yds but managed just 1 TD.. Then in 2027 as TE2 he posted 15 rec for 188 yds but caught 4 TD.. Last season back at TE1, he had a career season posting 66 rec for 822 yds and 6 TD. However WSU add former Notre Dame recruit Caleb Slye who comes in as the team’s highest rated player despite limited PT the past 3 years for the Irish (8 rec 81 yds 2 TD) as well as former N. Illinois recruit Fetu Ursua who posted 50 rec 528 yds and 2 TD last year for the Huskies

4* Recruit Tyron Jackson will redshirt and likely push Ursua for the TE1 job in 2030.

O-Line
LT SR Brayden Jacobs (95)
LG SR Abel Hoppii (89)
C JR Alonzo Lowell (83)
RG JR Andy Weiner (83)
RT JR Matt Retkofsky (85)

Key Reserves OT- SR Sone Falealo (77), OG-SR Isiah Lyons (76) C-SR Isiah Woolfolk (77) OG-SR Trevor Bindel (76)

The O-Line will feature 4 new starters with former Clemson transfer Braden Jacobs the only returning starter. Hoppii,Lowell and Retkofsky all transferred in which will allow some of the younger guy’s 1 more season of training to be ready to step in. Woolfolk has 2 years as the teams starting center under his belt but lost it to Lowell who grades out as a better pass protector.

OT-RS SO Javier Bueno (78)
OG-RS FR Harvey Carmrda (78)
C-RS SO Miles Ejiofor (80)
OG-RS SO Chuck Anders (84)
OT-RS SO Devon Livings (76)
OT-RS FR Glenn Merrick (75)
C-RS SO Scott Gibbs (77)
OG-RS FR Cortez Mundy (74)

Even with 7 Seniors in the 0-Line unit these guy’s are the future, allowing Coach Moore to plug and play with the Portal as well as look for guy’s WSU can develop over the course of 2 seasons rather then look for instant starters.

WSU is making a pretty major change on Defense going into the 2029 season. After playing a 4-2-5 Defense the past 3 seasons, DC Trent Bray is looking to take advantage of his LB’s and is going to switch to a 3–3-5 Defense.

D-Line
DE-FR Marquez Charles (76)
DE-SR Conner Elias (84)
DT-SR Joseph Mupoyi (81)
DT-JR Nolan Conklin (81)
Charles one of the 4* Recruits that headline’s the 2029 Class will look to rotate in with Elias (Arkansas transfer) and Mypoyi (Cal transfer) as well as Conklin who had 49 tackles with 18 TFL and 6.0 sacks last season.

RS JR Jeremiah Makovicka (76), RS JR Jaden Rice (76), SR Luke Webb (73) JR Kahil Figueroa (76), JR Josh Johnson (75) are an experienced group of backups that give DC Trent Bray plenty of depth should he return to a 4 man front.

Linebackers
Sam-RS JR Stephen Harris (81)
Mike-FR Serge Udeze (74)
Will-FR AL Boone (84)

Harris a former 3* Athlete who played as a undersized (6’0 245lbs) DE the past 2 seasons recorded 75 Tackles with 15 TFL and 9 sacks, including 51/12/6 last season will be joined by 4* Recruits Udeze and Boone in the starting lineup.

FR Amari Tolbert (73) ,SR Jovan Clark (76) and JR Hugh Frerickson (74) are the primary backups. Like Udeze and Boone, Tolbert was also a 4* Recruit whose deal breaker is PT

SECONDARY
CB-SR Tyrone Cotton III (82)
CB-SR Tre Poteat (83)
CB-RS SO Marques Stroughter (84)
FS-RS JR Vonn Hurkey (81)
SS-RS JR Dwyane Carstens (78)

Cotton and Potet return for their 3rd season as starters at CB, between them they have just 5 career INT’s, however Cotton’s was to seal the victory over Oregon in the Semi’s so it was a big one. Stroughter had a huge spring (jumped 14 points in rating) and will take over as this year’s 5th DB. Hurley, a transfer from Rice posted 52 tackles last year for the Owls with 1 INT.
Carstens takes over at SS after being a reserve the past 2 years.

CB-RS SO Chuck Hajrulllahu (75), RS FR Tevin Gentry (75) and SR Angel Mercer (75) are the key reserves

SPECIAL TEAMS
PK- RS SR Adali Lounsbury (77)
P- SO Juan Chavez (83)
PK/P ® FR Keenan Carr (80)

Lounsbury best season was his Freshman year when he connected on 20/23 FG’s (86%) however he has still been solid the past 2 seasons (2027-18/25) and (2028-20/26).. Inside 40 yards he is almost automatic (31/32) it’s his 45+ yd attempts that get him into trouble.

Chavez was decent last year with 46 punts for 1939 yds (42.2 avg) with a net avg of 35.1. He had a career long of 62 yds and landed 7 punts inside the 20 and had 8 for TB’s.

Carr will redshirt and likely take over as the Punter next year as Chavez moves to PK. r Both have strong legs (92 KPW with Chavez boasting a much high KAC of 89 vs 82). In fact look for Chavez to maybe even take over long FG’s from Lounsbury this season (Lounsbury KPA is 79 with a 91 KPW)

TROSTER BREAKDOWN

WSU goes into the 2029 season with 83 scholarships filled (22 Seniors/19 Juniors/14 Sophomores and 28 Freshman (Redshirt and True) With a great Spring(Training) we saw a massive jump in the Roster Overall as WSU went from a 82 Overall to a 89 Overall (91 Offense/86 Defense)

With 14 Seniors on Offense including 5 WR's and 6 O-Lineman look for those to be the 2 main focus's for Moore and Miller. Out of the 8 Seniors on Defense we have 2 DE's and 2 CB's who are starting so look for those to be key positions to fill

MY SCHOOL RATINGS
Play Style-A+ (Ranked #2 behind Alabama)
Championship Contender-A- (Ranked #16, interesting that Miami of OH is ranked #13)
Program Tradition- C- (Ranked #76)
Campus Lifestyle C (Ranked #74, Some reason BSU is ranked #77, however Wyoming is ranked #73)
Stadium Atmosphere C+ (Ranked #53)
Pro Potential B- (Ranked #43, against BSU is ranked #46 and Texas is #47)
Brand Exposure C+ (Ranked #56, North Texas is ranked #52)
Academic Prestige D+ (Ranked #80, Arkansas is #78, Alabama is #79, Ole Miss is 82. Fresno State is 84)
Conference Prestige B (Ranked #6, Big Ten is #1, SEC #2, ACC is #3, Big 12 is #4 American is #5)
Coach Stability B (Ranked #34, Not sure how having the same staff 4 years in a row and we are still ranked lower then schools with brand new coaches)
Coach Prestige A (Ranked #10, Kirby Smart/Georgia is currently ranked #5
Athletic Facilities C (Ranked #66 , Oregon State is #69, Boise State is only ranked #60)

As a School we are currently sitting at a 3* Prestige. Normally I wouldn't allow myself a chance to recruit 5* Recruits until I am a 4* however with a Pac-12 Championship and now a National Championship and I am allowing myself to look at 5* Recruits who start WSU in their Top-10 as well as any Recruits in the PNW (Washington/Idaho/Oregon).. I however will still limit the # of guy's I can try to sign to 2 players on each side of the ball, focusing my recruiting efforts on 4* who have WSU in their Top-5 and 3* who have WSU in their Top-3 to start the season.

#24 Pitt (80/81/79)
#25 Texas (91/89/94)

Ryan Day is 108-25 at Ohio State but the Buckeyes HC is just 12-9 against rivals and 31-16 against Top-25 programs On paper OSU is the best team in the country, question is how long will boosters keep shelling out the money if Day can produce the Natty.

Former Texas Tech HC Joey McGuire is just 15-11 in his first 2 seasons coaching the Longhorns and lifetime he is just 11-18 against Top-25 opponents. It appears he is on his last chance at bringing the school back into contention for a National Title hunt.

Coach Deion Sanders finally proved he had what it takes to lead Colorado to a Big 12 title but fell short in the playoffs. With a lifetime record of 4-7 against Top-25 teams is he the right man to lead Alabama back into Natty contention?

WEEK 1 RECAP

Cougar vs Cougar, 2 teams currently going in opposite directions.. 2 years ago BYU was coming off back to back undefeated perfect 12-0 seasons and Big 12 Championships earning Top-4 seeds in the playoffs but came up short both times. WSU was a program looking to establish themselves in a new Pac-12 conference hiring their 4th Head Coach in 5 seasons, but the hiring of Kirby Moore paid off as Moore led Washington State to a surprising Pac-12 title in Year 2 and a National Title in Year 3..

Last season WSU fans saw plenty of touchdowns but also plenty of INT's from QB Trey Owens and new starter Calvin Loyd showed both in the first half as he made his first start of his career.

BYU would jump out to a early (14-0) lead in the 1st Quarter scoring on a pair of rushing touchdowns after the BYU Defense picked off Loyd on just his 4th pass attempt of the game.

WSU however would battle back in the 2nd Quarter behind a pair of big plays from Loyd and the passing game as well as 3 Pass Interference calls against the BYU secondary.

Loyd would find Carter Pabst for a 60 yd touchdown pass midway through the 2nd quarter and then after forcing a BYU Punt that was downed inside the 5 yard line, Loyd would go back to the air this time finding Miami Ohio tranfser Brayden Trimble on a 77 yd pass and catch score as WSU ties the game (14-14) with 4:49 to play in the half.

Washington State would earn the lead as time expires as Senior Adlai Lounsbury connects on a 38 yd FG to make it (17-14) at the half.

Neither team would mount much offense in the 3rd as WSU turns to backup QB Jonathan Provo after Calvin Loyd is hurt on the opening series of the half. With Provo leading the way WSU would settle for 2 Field goal tries and missing them both including a 51 yd attempt by Punter Juan Chavez who is attempting to become the Cougars future PK.

WSU would extend their lead though early in the 4th Quarter as RB Clint Powell finally breaks free with a 31 yd run to make it (24-14) with 7:05 to play in the game but BYU claw their way back first connecting on a 36 yd FG with 4:55 to play to make it (24-17 and then tying the game (24-24) with 1:22 to play as JR QB Ramon Wile (84) finds SO RB Duke Reynaud (89) out of the backfield for a 30 yd score.

With Provo still in the game, WSU would have a chance to still win the game in regulation but Provo's 4th down pass is knocked away with WSU turning the ball over on downs with 40 seconds to play.. BYU would then march down the field behind a trio of pass's to set up Josiah Birmingham for another 36 yd FG as time expires as Washington State loses it's season opener for a 2nd straight year.
FINAL SCORE BYU-27 WASHINGTONS STATE-24

KEY PLAYERS
QB C. Loyd-12/29 (41%) 233 yds 2 TD 1 INT, 3 carries 36 yds
QB J Provo-9/21 (42%) 129 yds
RB T. Dragos-14 carries 46 yds (3.2 avg), 2 rec 22 yds
RB C. Powell-6 carries 44 yds (7.3 avg) 1 TD, 4 rec 59 yds
WR B Trimble-5 rec 127 yds 1 TD
WR C. Izien-4 rec 65 yds
WR C. Pabst-4 rec 75 yds 1 TD (also had 4 drops)
WR C. Wayne-1 rec 7 yds
TE J. Finenganofo-1 rec 6 yds
DE J. Mupoyi-5 TFL 3 sacks
SS D. Cartstens-11 Tackles

QB R Wile-13/27 (48%) 189 yds 1 TD, 19 carries 23 yds 1 TD
RB G. Waletzko-33 carries 177 yds (5.3 avg) 1 TD, 4 rec 51 yds
RB D. Reynauld-1 rec 30 yds 1 TD
WR U. Neloms-2 rec 43 yds
WR D. Devine-2 rec 25 yds
WR S. Gore-2 rec 18 yds
TE E. Durand-2 rec 22 yds

COACH MILLER AFTER THE GAME

Honestly, the game went about how I expected.. Our Offense struggled to find it's footing without Owens/Doll/Creer but the Defense played a pretty solid game Overall. We gave up some big running plays which isn't the norm, but I felt like we got decent pressure on Wile as Mupoyi came up big in his debut with 3 sacks. Well Powell's rushing #'s look good because of the 31 yd touchdown run the fact he was 5 for 13 yds before that and the fact that Dragos managed just 46 yds on 14 carries leaves me a little concerned with the run game.. We can't rely on whoever is play QB to have to throw the ball 50+ times every game.

All we can do is the same thing we did last year.. Chalk this one up to a learning experience and move on and get ready for Arkansas State next week.

INJURY REPORT

QB Calvin Loyd was cleared after the game to return to practice and should be able to start next weeks game. However WSU will be without DT Kahil Figueroa for likely the remainder of the season as the Junior has a Fractured Shoulder Blade (15 weeks).

UP NEXT
With the loss WSU drops completely out of the Top-25 rankings (#26). Arkansas State won it's season opener with a (35-30) win over Kennesaw State.

AROUND THE LEAGUE UPDATE

WSU wasn't the only Top-25 team to fall in Week 1.

#6 Miami fell (41-24) to #14 Auburn meaning both teams who played in the Natty last year lost in Week 1 this year.. The Hurricanes drop to #12 with the loss.

Washington stated the year #11 but fell in a Week 0 matchup with Boise State (51-17) dropping to #18.. They however rebounded with a Week 1 win over #24 Michigan (34-33) to move to 1-1.

Speaking of Boise State. the Broncos are 2-0 after beating Cincinnati (52-14) win Week 1.. They are joined by #3 Oregon who also moves to 2-0 after opening up their season with a Week 0 win over Utah State (32-7) the Ducks went on to beat Portland State (FCS Northwest) 42-14.

#1 Tennessee opened up it's season with a 42-24 win over #8 Florida State

#2 Clemson defeated Vanderbilt 66-31 in Week 1 but now the Tigers and Vols will face each other in Week 2.

#5 Georgia took care of business against #15 NC State (56-27). The Wolfpack fall to #23 with the loss.

#7 Ohi State opened up their season escaping with a (42-37) win over Nevada. The Buckeyes will need to play better in Week 2 if they are going to beat #17 SMU.

#9 Notre Dame fell (34-27) to Coach Prime and the Tide in Week 1. With the loss they drop to #21

the fall of from Trigga Trey is real. You should still handle the lower end of the Pac, but very well could be an up and down year unless Lloyd or Provo can break through

WEEK 2 RECAP
With the return of QB Calvin Loyd came the return of the Cougar offense that dominated last season as Washington State jumps out a commanding (28-0) lead in the 1st Quarter led by 4 touchdowns by Loyd (2 passing and 2 rushing) . WSU would extend the lead to (42-0) as Loyd connects on a Hat trick with Miami Ohio transfer Brayden Trimble who had become a favorite of Loyd in the early going.. WSU would also get a rushing touchdown from Texas State transfer Tashaun Dragos who finishes the 1st half with a team high 80 yds on 16 carries

Arkansas State would score in the final minute of the 1st half to prevent the shutout to make it (42-7) at the half.

Loyd and Trimble were not done was the duo hooks up for touchdown #4 to open up the 2nd half extending the lead to (49-7) before WSU was struck by some bad news., as RB Tashaun Dragos is helped off the field after a 1 yd run late in the 3rd. With Dragos out of the game Clint Powell would take over recording 77 yds on 10 carries including a 16 yd touchdown run early in the 4th to extend the lead to (56-7). Despite the lead Moore/Miller were still taking shots down field using the entire playbook and Loyd would deliver a 18 yd strike to Carter Pabst with 2:41 to play was WSU makes it (63-7).

Like the 1st half ASU would manage a last second score as FR QB Ben Garcon (75) finds SR Koby Howard (85) on a 20 yd score..

the fall of from Trigga Trey is real. You should still handle the lower end of the Pac, but very well could be an up and down year unless Lloyd or Provo can break through
Just posted the Arkansas State game. Loyd played much better but it also helped that Pabst didn't have 4 key drops. Loyd has probably better running skills then any QB I have played with since playing with St Clair in my BSU dynasty.. He is faster and more agile then Malachi Nelson who ended up with some decent rushing stats, so I really need to remember this and sometimes just tuck and run.

WEEK 2 AROUND THE NATION RECAP

#1 Tennessee took care of #2 Clemson (42-34) to retain the top spot in the rankings this week, well the CPU felt like a 8 point loss to the #1 team in the country is worth a 8 spot drop in the polls as the Tigers drop to #10.

Oregon despite not playing jumps to #2, #4 Penn State moves to #3 with a (40-35) win over Baylor, #5 Georgia moves to #4 despite not playing well #6 Ohio State takes #5 with a (26-7) win over #17 SMU.

Here is a look at the rest of the Top-25

#6 (2-0) Auburn
#7 (2-0) Colorado
#8 (2-0) LSU
#9 (3-0) Boise State (beat Utah State 45-7)
#11 (1-0) Ole Miss
#12 (2-0) Kentucky
#13 (2-1) Washington
#14 (2-0) Texas
#15 (1-1) Michigan State (was #8 but lost to Pitt 24-21)
#16 (1-1) Michigan (Was #24 but beat #14 FSU 35-28)
#17 (1-1) Notre Dame
#18 (3-0) Wake Forest (Beat #12 Miami 31-10)
#19 (0-2) Florida State
#20 (1-1) NC State
#21 (2-1) Duke (was #13 but lost 24-17 to TCU)
#22 (2-0) UNC
#23 (1-1) SMU
#24 (0-2) Miami
#15 (1-1) Washington State

I can't say I ever remember a (0-2) team in the Top-25 and here there is 2.. The CPU Polls are loving the ACC right now with 7 teams in the Top-25 yet it has (3-0) Iowa, (2-0) Wisconsin (2-0) Indiana and (2-0) USC outside the Top-25

HEISMAN TALK

Boise State's Tavian St Clair is off to a hot start leading the Broncos to a 3-0 start throwing for 962 yds with 8 TD's and rushing for 194 yds and 1 TD.. I forgot to mention but he finished last season with 3715 yds 25 TD and 9 INT passing and 1008 yds and 9 TD rushing.

Wake Forest off to a 3-0 start is led by SR QB Cameron Dyer who has thrown for 909 yds with 12 TD and 1 INT well rushing for 187 yds and 1 TD. Dyer who transfered from Arizona State missed most of last season playing in just 4 games.

WEEK 3 RECAP

WSU pulled off a upset victory over the Huskies in Seattle 2 years ago, but then fell in a disappointing loss last season (52-44) at home. Can a return trip to Seattle be the key to WSU not repeating a (1-2) start?

Washington State despite playing in a hostile environment played a solid 1st half.. Washington opened up the game with a touchdown on a 29 yd run by SR Julian McMahan (84) but would settle for pair of Field Goals finding themselves trailing (28-13) at the half as WSU once again is led by QB Calvin Loyd who finds Brayden Trimble twice including a 75 yd bomb and caps another drive with his 3rd rushing touchdown of the season.

WSU would open up the 2nd half with the ball and Loyd went right back to work hitting Carter Pabst on a 26 yd score to increase the lead to (35-13). Washington would answer back with yet another FG before Loyd throws touchdown #4 hitting Notre Dame transfer Caleb Slye as the Senior TE hauls in a 15 yd pass for his 2nd touchdown of the season was WSU makes it (42-13).

WSU would extend their lead in the opening seconds of the 4th Quarter as Adlai Lounsbury connects on a 51 yd FG to make it (45-13) Washington would continue to struggle as QB Garrett McAdoo(81 Ovr) is sacked on back to back plays for his 5th and 6th sack of the game forcing a punt that would set up WSU would the ball at midfield. The Cougars would need just 1 play to add to their lead as Clint Powell takes the handoff and goes 45 yds to the house..

Trailing by almost 40,, Washington was running out of chances to at least make it respectable but finally with 2 minutes to play McAdoo would find SR TE Noah Fox-Flores (92 Ovr) on a 13 yd scoring strike

The Junior QB (McAdoo) would finish the game just 17/35 (48%) throwing for 181 yds with the 1 TD.

IMPACT FROM THE GAME

With the win WSU moves up to #19 in the rankings and avoids a repeat start of (1-2). Washington drops to (2-2) on after the loss and is now 0-2 against Pac-12 teams vs 2-0 vs Big Ten teams. The Huskies are now ranked #24.

Washington State will return home for a 3 game homestand starting with Stanford in Week 4. The Cardinals are (1-1) after starting their season with "Bye's" in Week 0 and 1.. Stanford opened up their season with a (37-35) loss to Oregon State in Week 2 before beating Georgia State (34-17) in Week 3.

WSU already without DT Kahil Figueroa also lost starter Nolan Conklin (82 Ovr) who will miss the next 3 weeks with a groin pull. Cal transfer Joseph Mupoyi who leads the team with 5 sacks will shift over to DT well True Freshman 4* Recruit Marquez Charles (4 sacks) will become the fulltime starter at DE joining Arkansas transfer Conner Elias as the Cougars 3 man front.
