solid win, but what happened to the rushing attack? Overton only with 3 yards despite a 6 yard tuddy isn't good

Thats my bad, its meant to say 33 :( but yeah he is starting to wear down a little, not hitting the big runs, hence why Fredricks is getting more yards and passing yards.

🏈 Virginia Tech 2028 Recruiting Class Report

Virginia Tech’s 2028 recruiting class is coming together with a mix of high-upside defensive talent and versatile athletes. The Hokies have stayed true to their regional recruiting footprint while also landing players who fit the program’s physical identity.

Amani Fokou – 4⭐ WILL, 6’0”/238 lbs

National Rank: 249 | State Rank (SC): 4 | Positional Rank (WILL): 24
Hometown: Greenwood, SC
Fokou headlines the Hokies’ 2028 class as a powerful linebacker with elite range. His compact frame and physical playstyle allow him to thrive as both a run-stopper and a blitzer. Ranked among the top 25 WILL linebackers nationally, he projects as an impact defender with early playing time potential.

Dwayne Melvin – 4⭐ DL, 6’4”/295 lbs

National Rank: 315 | State Rank (NC): 11 | Positional Rank (DL): 18
Hometown: Mooresville, NC
Melvin adds much-needed size and explosiveness to Tech’s defensive front. At 6’4” and nearly 300 pounds, he shows the versatility to line up across multiple spots on the line. His blend of strength and athleticism makes him a disruptive force who could quickly climb the depth chart.

Stephen Blank – 3⭐ CB, 6’0”/162 lbs

National Rank: 790 | State Rank (VA): 16 | Positional Rank (CB): 52
Hometown: Clifton, VA
Blank brings length and quickness to the Hokies’ secondary. While still developing physically, his ball skills and recovery speed stand out. With his athletic traits, he’s a high-upside defensive back who could thrive once he adds strength and experience.

Alex Lutman – 3⭐ ATH, 5’10”/182 lbs

National Rank: 815 | State Rank (MD): 13 | Positional Rank (ATH): 99
Hometown: District Heights, MD
Lutman is a versatile athlete who can contribute in multiple roles, whether as a slot receiver, return man, or hybrid defender. His agility and playmaking ability give the Hokies a valuable chess piece who could carve out a niche role early.

Dalton Lipton – 3⭐ DT, 6’1”/282 lbs

National Rank: 966 | State Rank (VA): 21 | Positional Rank (DT): 52
Hometown: Chantilly, VA
Lipton is a stout interior defensive lineman with a strong base and natural leverage. He projects as a run-stuffing presence in the middle, with the potential to develop into a steady rotational contributor on the defensive front.
