Carson Wentz's guts powers Philly to comeback win in overtime against New Orleans

PHILADELPHILA, December 13 -- Two turnovers in the redzone in the fourth quarter couldn't stop the Philadelphia Eagles salvaging their season, no matter how bad their record is. A valiant and gusty 10 yard touchdown run by Carson Wentz with 28 seconds remaining in the game forced the game into overtime and handed the hosts all the momentum in the world as they marched down the field and kicked a 37 yard field goal with 4:59 remaining to earn a huge upset win over the New Orleans Saints, 20-17. It's the second consecutive loss for the Saints, who fall to 9-4 after losing to teams with losing records.

The Eagles ran all over the Saints. Miles Sanders set the tempo with a 58 yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter and rushed for 140 yards off 19 carries and led the Eagles with 8 receptions for 46 yards as the Saints had to answer to his offensive prowess on Sunday. Carson Wentz rushed for 59 yards off 6 carries while he completed 28 of 40 for 264 yards through the air. It was an old-school NFC affair with both teams getting to the quarterback regularly. The Eagles sacked Drew Brees four times, with Fletcher Cox accounting for two sacks. New Orleans swarmed Carson Wentz for 8.5 sacks, with Marcus Davenport bringing down Carson Wentz 4.5 times. To add insult to injury, New Orleans has likely lost wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders for the rest of the season. Sanders went down with an apparent ruptured disk.

Buffalo hands Pittsburgh first loss of the season, Eagles stun Saints and Ravens blow out Browns in Week 14

The unbeaten dream has come to an end, three weeks before the close of the season as the Buffalo Bills saw off a hard fought encounter with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who came in as 13-0 victors. Baltimore is breathing – but barely. Their season sweep over the Browns vaulted them back in the postseason with the Browns falling to the #7 seed. The Kansas City Chiefs shutout the Miami Dolphins and the Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Indianapolis Colts in a very important AFC Conference matchup. If the playoffs started today, the Colts would host the Raiders and the Eagles would host the Saints.

Josh Allen leads Buffalo to victory against unbeaten Big Ben and Steelers
Josh Allen completed 25 of his 40 passes for 289 yards and 3 turnovers with Cole Beasley hurling in 8 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown as the Bills defeated the Steelers, 28-24. The Ravens took a 21-7 lead into halftime and held on for a comfortable 35-21 victory, thanks to Lamar Jackson completing 28 of 32 for 327 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gus Edwards scored 3 touchdowns off 10 carries and the Browns were official toast by the time the fourth quarter rolled around. Baker Mayfield threw for 263 yards and 3 touchdowns in the defeat. Game of the season as Kamara's two 4th quarter touchdowns seal shootout victory over defending Champs

NEW ORLEANS, December 20 -- It rose above every bit above the pre-game billing the hype induced. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson picked off a pass for a touchdown on Patrick Mahomes’ first pass before allowing Mecole Hardman to hurl in 237 receiving yards as the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints combined for over 900 yards of offense as the Saints held on for a 41-36 victory, which sealed them with a ticket to the 2021 NFL Playoffs. The Saints (10-4) currently sit with the 5th seed in the NFC and are behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11-3) with two games to play. The Buccaneers need to lose once and the Saints need to win out to win the NFC South for a fourth consecutive season.

Michael Thomas caught 8 passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns and Alvin Kamara rushed for his third career 100-yard game. Kamara had two rushing touchdowns and three total on the day as Drew Brees completed 29 of his 42 passes for 322 yards. The Saints may be one of the best teams in football, but they’re seriously inconsistent and have major problems. Patrick Mahomes threw for 504 yards, Mecole Hardman recorded 237 yards and Sammy Watkins was unguarded as he went in for a long touchdown. The Saints may have beaten the best team in the league and what a game it was. They have issues that need to be fixed before the playoffs and with two games to spare, it’s unlikely that a quick fix will help a secondary which is progressively getting worse.

Week 15 sees the New Orleans Saints hold on for victory against KC Chiefs in possible Super Bowl matchup

The New Orleans Saints earned a huge boost to their momentum as they toppled the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite forcing turnovers, the Chiefs stayed in the game until the end and came away with Patrick Mahomes passing for 504 yards, his career best. The Cardinals were shocked as the Philadelphia Eagles won for a second consecutive week and Seattle look like the dark horse favourites to win the Super Bowl as Week 15 provided plenty of storylines.

Sam Darnold completed 35 of his 46 passes for 390 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Jets caused a huge upset with just two weeks until the curtain draws to a close for 2020. Frank Gore pummeled into the endzone twice and Mohamed Sanu led the Jets with 116 yards and 11 catches. The Jets won this one. Neither quarterback played particularly well. Kyler Murray (77.6) and Carson Wentz (71.2) both threw two interceptions. The Eagles harassed Murray all afternoon with 6 sacks – 2.5 coming from Harvey Langi. Miles Sanders rushed for 75 yards off 20 carries as both teams were unspectacular on offense dispute the 31-28 score line.
