Young, Huskies discussing 'mega' contract extension, nearing agreement

The Toronto Huskies and pass rusher Chase Young are nearing a deal, as first reported by ESPN's Ian Schefter.

Described by a source as 'gigantic' and 'mega', Young and the Huskies have been in constant contact since the end of last season with both sides working towards a long-term extension for Young, the former number two overall draft pick. The deal is expected to be well over the $100 million mark and will likely set the 'floor' for Trevor Lawrence's extension next season.

Young, 23, is the youngest player to reach 50 sacks, besting Danielle Hunter and Robert Quinn. They both set the record when they were 25, a full two-years before Young who has 54 sacks in 50 games.
