Kenny Pickett injured, Mac Jones falters in return to Foxborough as Pats keep pace in AFC East race
Mac Jones' return to Foxborough was not under the most ideal circumstances, replacing an injured Kenny Pickett with the New York Jets trailing 21-0, all of turnovers. Jones would help the Jets make it a game, trailing 28-16 in the fourth quarter the but the last two drives of the game would end with sacks as the Patriots defense held on for the win on Sunday.

The Patriots scored on the very first play of the game, returning a fumble on the opening kickoff for a touchdown. On the third drive of the game, Pickett would throw a pick six to Jabril Peppers and followed it up with another near pick six on his final throw of the game which was returned to the one-yard line on a play where Pickett injured his chest.

Drake Maye would find fullback Patrick Ricard on the one-yard touchdown for the first of his two touchdowns. He finished the game with just 145 yards passing but two touchdowns and 51 yards on the ground. He also fumbled twice as the Patriots offensive line had no answers for Quinnen Williams. Williams had six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks and forced a ton of holding penalties as the Patriots were called for eight penalties for 80 yards.

With the win, the Patriots are now tied for first place with the Jets for the AFC East with New England currently holding the tie breaker based on win percentage over common opponents.

Mac really thought he was about to do his big thing FOH!

They were both on plays where Quinnen Williams literally threw Sidy Sow into Drake's lap and I tried to scramble out of there. I've never seen a player dominate like Quinnen did. When I doubled, it was a free rusher. When they singled up, automatic win or drawing the holding call. that boy good!
