Florence heads to IR as Huskies sign WR Adams from practice squad
Sebastian Barnes -- Dynasty Sports Staff Writer

The Toronto Huskies have placed running back Sherwin Florence, last year's Offensive Rookie of the Year, on the injured reserve list and have promoted wide receiver Tyler Adams from their practice squad.

The team had hoped to avoid placing Florence on IR but with Miles Boykin dislocating his knee last week, they ended up in a position where quarterback Cam Newton played a few snaps at receiver last week.

Florence rushed for 707 yards on the season and leads the team with nine touchdowns, almost matching his rookie totals where he rushed for 804 yards.

Toronto does get rookie Richard Leonard back in the lineup, returning from an injury.
