‣ NFL 2025 Wild Card Round - Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts
(10-8) New York Jets at New England Patriots (13-5)
NYJ | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 3
NE | 3 | 3 | 7 | 7 | 20

Jets offense grounded as Patriots cruise to 20-3 wild card win
The New England Patriots defense turned Kenny Pickett into a pumpkin once more, putting an end to the Jets season with a convincing 20-3 win to earn the franchise's first playoff win since Tom Brady's departure.
Drake Maye didn't need to do much with New England having two running backs in Kyle Monangai and JaMycal Hasty -- two undrafted free agents -- rushing for over 100 yards. Maye eventually got it going after starting the game with five straight incompletions, finishing with 152 yards passing and a touchdown. Maye also rushed for 68 yards but did have a crucial fumble that stopped New England from extending their lead at halftime.
Maye would find Cooper Kupp on the other side of the half with an eighteen yard completion to convert on third and nine and two plays later, they would hook up for a touchdown. With the Jets offense completely grounded, the Patriots were able to lean on their running game to close out their first playoff win under head coach Jerod Mayo.
