From the Ashes.

‣ CFB 2026 Regular Season, Week 2 - Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida
(1-1, 0-0 MWC) Boise State Broncos at #2 Miami Hurricanes(1-1, 1-0 ACC)
BOI | 5 | 7 | 3 | 17 | 32
MIA | 0 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 7
Broncos pick off Miami quarterbacks four times, bring home three pick sixes in upset of the Hurricanes
Miami was going to do it again. After trailing for much of the game, freshman quarterback Keke Hagg had rallied them to the nine-yard line, ready to punch it in to be a two-point conversion shy of tying the game in the fourth quarter.
Instead, Boise State picked off the pass on the botched screen pass and returned it for a touchdown, the second of three pick sixes as the Broncos throttled the Hurricanes 32-7 in a major upset on Saturday.
Miami played both quarterbacks -- Hagg and Emory Williams -- throughout the game with Williams throwing an earlier pick six and replacing Hagg in the fourth quarter and throwing another one. He finished 18 of 37 for 165 yards while Hagg was no better, going 6 of 12 for 60 yards.
The Hurricanes struggled to run the ball and their defense did their best, holding Boise State to just 197 yards of total offense but the five turnovers and three defensive touchdowns were too much to overcome.
Miami head coach Mario Cristobal said after the game that they'll be evaluating the entire roster, not just the quarterback position.
