Injuries
HB Rashee Williamson (Junior) Dislocated Ankle (Season)

Players to Watch
QB Clint Goris (R-Soph) | 6′2″, 217 lbs | 77 OVR, 75 SPD, 92 THP, 83 SAC, 80 MAC, 80 DAC
‣ The transition from Gavin Wimsatt, one of the better quarterbacks in the conference, to the third-year sophomore has been a tough one with the Gamecocks opening the season with three straight losses and Goris throwing five picks in those games. He's been better since and the blueprint for success is probably ideally what we saw in the game against Liberty where he attempted just fifteen attempts, completed twelve of them and was more of a game manager. If he can have a similar outing against KSU as a game manager, he's talented enough to navigate through a game.
WR Jeremiah Colbert (Senior) | 5′8″, 184 lbs | 74 OVR, 93 SPD, 95 ACC, 71 CTH
‣ Tyree Kelly is the Gamecocks' best receiver and he put together a really good performance last year with eight catches for 132 yards. The name to watch, however, might be the smaller and more explosive Colbert as on the heels of the Owls' defensive breakdowns in the secondary against Liberty, Colbert is the sort of speedy receiver that can break a game. He's strung together a few games after a slow start to the season and could be due for another big one this week.
CB Justice Peters (R-Fr) | 6′0″, 202lbs | 69 OVR, 82 SPD, 85 ACC, 91 COD, 72 MCV, 70 ZCV, 78 PRESS
‣ Peters is a big, physical corner that the Gamecocks have preferred in the slot over the more experienced and more athletic Temarion Foster (93 SPD, 92 ACC, 62 MCV, 71 ZCV). Peters' physicality should come in handy against the physical running game of the Owls, which leads the country in rushing yards per game, but if there ever is a game for Cam'ron Lacy to have a big day, it's against the slower footed Peters.

Owls land another commitment along the offensive line as they enter the Top 25 ranking for first time in program history
Keke Hagg

KENNESAW, Ga. -- It's a great week to be a Kennesaw State Owl as the Owls landed a commitment from three-star offensive tackle Marion Pena and for the first time in program history were listed in the College Football Playoffs Rankings.
The Owls came in at No. 22 in the first issue of the CFP Rankings, ahead of Missouri, Iowa and Ohio State. They are the highest ranked non-Power 4 team and by extension, putting them in pole position to be the automatic qualifier should they be able to win the conference. The Owls came in at No. 24 in the AP Poll and and fell just outside the Top 25 in the Coaches Poll.
On the recruiting front, Pena is the third commit of this cycle which is off to a much faster start than previous KSU classes that really ramped up in the post-winter window. The Owls went out to the Midwest, an area of the country that is known for producing quality offensive lineman. At six-foot-five and 291 pounds, Pena is an athletic big body that needs to work on his pass blocking technique which should come with time. Offensive line is a development position but Pena has the raw tools and mentality, evident in his run blocking, that provides a solid base for him to be a potential future starter down the road.

(6-2, 4-1 American)

Protective Stadium - Sat 11/6/27, 3:30
Team Schedule
vs. FCS: W 41-23
vs. Jacksonville State (3-5): W 33-30
at Georgia State (5-3): L 38-30
at Temple (4-4): L 38-7
vs. Tulsa (2-6): W 31-13
vs. Tulane (6-2): W 22-19
vs. North Texas (4-4): W 41-28
at Army (1-6): W 24-21
Team Leaders
Passing: Rich Beling 57 cmp%, 2057 yards, 15 TD, 5 INT
Rushing: Marquise Collins 486 yards, 5.3 ypc, 4 TD
Receiving: Roman Mothershed 53 receptions, 806 yards, 4 TD
Defense: Vicari Swain 47 tackles, 4 INT

Injuries
TE Antonio Ferguson (Senior) Torn Labrum (4 weeks)
C Kade Martin (Soph) Broken Thumb (Out)
Players to Watch
QB Rich Belin (R-Soph) | 6′0″, 199lbs | 81 OVR, 85 SPD, 89 ACC, 91 THP, 78 SAC, 76 MAC, 80 DAC
‣ Belin left Southern Miss to be the starter at UAB where he's been terrific for the Blazers with fifteen touchdowns on the season. He's a dynamic runner even if the stats don't show it with just 3.4 yards per carry and under 30 rushing yards per game but he has the ability to extend plays and make things happen with his legs and strong arm.
HB Marquise Collins (R-Sr) | 5'9", 212lbs | 83 OVR, 86 SPD, 89 ACC, 95 COD, 79 BTK
‣ The Blazers have two really good running backs in Collins and James Ingram, who is second on the team with 335 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Collins has missed some games due to injury but at the start of the season, he opened the year with three straight 100-yard performances and four touchdowns in the first three games. With him healthy again, he should be the Blazers' bell cow and see a heavy workload against a KSU team that allowed a long touchdown run last week.
LB Ty Jackson (Jr) | 6′2″, 227lbs | 79 OVR, 85 SPD, 87 ACC, 88 TKL 65 BSH
‣ UAB doesn't have the biggest interior defensive line with Phillip Ball (297lbs) and Tracey Tam (281) giving up a lot of size compared to Kennesaw State's interior offensive line which averages over 310 pounds. This puts a lot of pressure on Jackson, who is more of a sideline to sideline backer and even when he gets through or around the Owls' interior offensive line, he has to tackle running backs that are often just as big as he is.

Beat the piss out of Jacksonville State and then continued to build a pretty good recruiting class. Can't be mad at these post-Liberty results
