Still let Burrow put belt to hindquarters on your secondary. Gotta clean that up in the future.
I played a game before this one that crashed in the 4th Q. Burrow had 600 and 6 tuddies in that one :pgdead:

I wanted to blame the sliders, then played a CFB game against FSU and they struggled like you'd expect. So I chalked it up to Joe bein Joe.

I only post one WR per update. But it was uninspiring. 1 rec, 15 yards, TD. But he isn't here for immediate results, long term play

Losing Ramsey so early on has got to hurt, but it seems as though this team is stacked enough to weather the storm.

This should be a good game. Broncos have a ton of playmakers.

the problem is we play man coverage 75% of the time, since zone is hit or miss. Without Ramsey its JPJ and Humphrey on the outside and Hump is slower than I'd like at #2. Watson is solid, but gets lost at times (see update). We'll just have to get more sacks to keep them behind the chains

Broncos Comeback Bid Falls Short After Aubrey's Game Winning Field Goal

Pittsburgh, PA. - It wasn't always pretty, but the Pittsburgh Steelers moved to 2-0 Sunday despite three Anthony Richardson interceptions that nearly derailed hopes against Denver.

In the end, it was newcomer Brandon Aubrey who played hero, drilling a 45-yard field goal as time expired to lift Pittsburgh to a 31-28 victory and silence questions about whether the Steelers could replace franchise icon Chris Boswell.
"It was a big moment," Aubrey said after the game. "Obviously, Chris was a stalwart here for years, so to be able to get that first game-winning kick out of the way and show the fans I'm about it, was great."

It was an up-and-down performance for the reigning MVP, who threw three touchdowns but also three costly interceptions — including one in the red zone that set up JK Dobbins' 75-yard touchdown run for Denver.

Richardson recovered to give Pittsburgh what appeared to be a commanding 28-14 lead after his third touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter. But then Broncos quarterback Bo Nix, who had taken a backseat to Dobbins' dominant rushing performance for most of the afternoon, suddenly found his rhythm.

Nix completed all five of his passes on the ensuing drive before finding tight end Joe Royer for a 19-yard touchdown that cut the deficit to 28-21 with 6:42 remaining.

Pittsburgh quickly responded. A 23-yard scamper by Keaton Mitchell moved the Steelers into the red zone, and with under two minutes left and Denver out of timeouts, Pittsburgh could have run out the clock and kicked a field goal to put the game out of reach.

Instead, Richardson went for the knockout blow.

He fired an in-route intended for DK Metcalf that was off target just enough for Denver safety Jahdae Barton to make the interception at the 8-yard line with 1:47 remaining. The Acrisure Stadium crowd groaned in disbelief. Three plays later, disaster struck for Pittsburgh's secondary. Cornerbacks Jaylen Watson and Donte Kent collided in coverage, leaving Marvin Mims Jr. wide open on an out route. Mims hauled in the 25-yard completion, then sprinted up the sideline untouched for the game-tying touchdown with 48 seconds left.

A hush fell over Acrisure Stadium. The celebration was over. Overtime loomed.

But the reigning MVP wasn't finished.

Starting from his own 25-yard line with no timeouts, Richardson orchestrated a clinic in two-minute offense. A 20-yard strike to Metcalf moved the chains. A 9-yard slant to rookie Ryan Williams pushed Pittsburgh past midfield. Then, facing third-and-9 from the Denver 48, Richardson scrambled for 13 yards to keep the drive alive and set up Aubrey's game-winner.

"You wait until the end to make plays and this is the risk you take," Nix said after the game. "If we had done just a little more earlier, this could be a different game."

After managing just one catch — albeit for a touchdown — in his NFL debut last week, Williams looked every bit the top-five pick on Sunday. The Alabama product hauled in 10 receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns, finally providing the explosive complement to Metcalf and Zachariah Branch that the Steelers envisioned on draft night.

When asked if Williams heard the critics after his quiet debut, head coach Mike Tomlin dismissed the notion.

"He knows his value is more than a box score, more than an online opinion," Tomlin said. "Consistency is key and he'll be fine."

Williams' emergence couldn't have come at a better time, especially with the secondary dealing with Jalen Ramsey's absence. Having another reliable weapon for Richardson should help the offense compensate if the defense continues to struggle against explosive plays.

Pittsburgh takes its perfect record on the road in Week 3, facing the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium in what could be a trap game after two emotional home victories.
