he was doing more than managing against us

I blitz a lot. But I don't user LB if that's what you're insinuating sir, I always user the DL. Usually Harmon then I'll switch to Watt on key downs

San Francisco, CA. - The 49ers did their best to hand the Pittsburgh Steelers their second loss of the season, with Brock Purdy slinging for 448 yards and a go-ahead field goal with just 1:44 remaining.
It still wasn't enough.
Brandon Aubrey drilled a 20-yard field goal as time expired, capping a methodical two-minute drive by Anthony Richardson and giving the Steelers a thrilling 46-45 victory at Levi's Stadium on Sunday.
After a 38-yard kickoff return by rookie Kyler Kasper gave Pittsburgh excellent field position, Richardson went to work immediately. A 28-yard completion to Ryan Williams and a 7-yard pass to Pat Freiermuth quickly moved the Steelers into field goal range.
From there, Pittsburgh ran three consecutive times for 19 yards, grinding the clock down to one second before sending Aubrey out for the game-winner.
"That's the benefit of having an All-Pro kicker," Mike Tomlin said when asked if the Steelers considered pressing for a touchdown. "With how Brock was slinging it, we didn't want to give them the ball back, period. Once we got in range, we knew the play."
Purdy was nearly flawless all afternoon, completing 19 of 23 passes in the first half and finishing 35-of-43 for the game for 448 yards and four touchdowns. He picked apart Pittsburgh's secondary at will, finding open receivers on nearly every drop-back.
Despite Purdy's dominance, two first-half drives stalled in the red zone and ended in field goals — including one late in the second quarter after an Anthony Richardson interception that could have put San Francisco in firm control. Those missed opportunities allowed the Steelers to strike last before halftime for a 28-27 lead.
The 49ers' first punt of the game came on their opening drive of the second half, and the Steelers capitalized with a 9-yard touchdown pass to DK Metcalf that extended their lead to 35-27.
But San Francisco wasn't finished. On third-and-1, Purdy found Brandon Aiyuk on a play-action deep shot for a 66-yard touchdown then completed a two-point conversion to tie the game.
The teams exchanged touchdowns again in the fourth quarter before Keaton Mitchell broke free for a 47-yard touchdown run. That's when Tomlin decided to get aggressive.
Rather than kicking the extra point, Tomlin elected to go for two with the Steelers trailing 42-41.
"They weren't slowing down, so I felt the extra point wasn't enough," Tomlin explained. "We needed an advantage."
Richardson found Quinshon Judkins in the flat for the two-point conversion, giving Pittsburgh a 43-42 lead that would prove crucial.
San Francisco marched back down the field, but a first-down sack by T.J. Watt left the 49ers facing third-and-14. Aiyuk hauled in his 12th catch of the day for 13 yards, setting up fourth-and-1 from the Pittsburgh 18-yard line.
Earlier in the second quarter, the 49ers had gone for it on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line, with Purdy sneaking it in for a touchdown. This time, head coach Kyle Shanahan opted for the field goal.
"You could argue if we go for it and get it, we could take a bigger lead," Shanahan said after the game. "But if we don't, we lose the game. Either way I went, if we lose, I'm getting roasted."
Matthew Dennis drilled the 41-yard field goal — his third of the day — to give San Francisco a 45-43lead with 1:44 remaining.
It was just enough time for Richardson.
After Aubrey's game-winner split the uprights, the final score read 46-45. The margin? The two-point conversion Pittsburgh converted after Mitchell's touchdown.
Tomlin's aggressive decision to go for two rather than settle for a tie game proved to be the difference. Had the Steelers kicked the extra point, they would have been trailing 45-42 after Moody's field goal and needed a touchdown to win.
Instead, they needed only a field goal — and Richardson delivered just enough to set up Aubrey for the game-winner.
Pittsburgh improves to 9-1 with the victory and remains firmly in control of the AFC's top seed. San Francisco falls to 6-4, their playoff hopes taking another hit in a competitive NFC West race.
For the Steelers, it was another reminder that in close games, the margins are razor-thin. And sometimes, the difference between winning and losing is a single gutsy call.
