Appreciate that brother. I knew we would do well, but it's been one hell of a ride. Cheese should be good to go, his W&T is in good condition (mostly).YaBoyRobRoy wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025, 13:48congrats on the perfect season and the ACC Championship win!! 2028 College Football Preview
1. Georgia
Record: 13-0
Head Coach: Kirby Smart (150-29)
Impact Player: WR Talyn Taylor, Rs Jr » 106 catches, 1,744 receiving yards, 16.8 AVG, 16 touchdowns
Case for Winning: QB Weston Bryan has led one of the most dynamic offenses in the nation this past year. With Heisman-winning wide receiver Talyn Taylor leading the charges after such a dynamic start, not to mention fellow 1,000 yard man Sacovie White-Helton, the team's offense is able to go hit-for-hit with just about anyone. Then you factor in their trench demons in defensive tackles Vernon Webb and Elijah Griffin combining for 34 tackles for loss and 16 sacks between just the two of them. Their defense may have taken a step down from its typical vaunted level, but they are still extremely National Championship-level talented.
2. SMU
Record: 13-0
Head Coach: Nico Augustine (23-3)
Impact Player: WILL Thomas McCariens, Jr » 75 tackles, 47 tackles for loss, 24.5 sacks
Case for Winning: SMU is typically known for their dynamic, high-flying offense, but we're going to highlight their incredible pass rush. They are clearly led by "The Tommy Gun" in DPOY Thomas McCariens, who far and away led the nation in sacks this past year. They will live and die by their defense (a bad game from them has huge connotations, just look how they barely escaped the likes of TCU just a few weeks ago). Free safety Armani Medlock pulled up with a 100+ tackle season, MIKE linebacker and captain Kevin Lockridge would have joined him as well had he not missed a few weeks. All they can hope for is that freshman quarterback Alonzo Cheeseman can play against strong pass-rushing defenses that he has yet to see.
3. Clemson
Record: 11-1
Head Coach: Lane Kiffin (38-4)
Impact Player: CB Corian Gipson, Rs Sr » 57 tackles, 6 interceptions, 6 pass breakups,
Case for Winning: The Tigers were all on their way to yet another ACC title game when a shocking loss to Louisville set them off-track. They knew that their road to the National Championship no longer ran through their own conference. They got the opportunity to rest and still boast one of the most elite rosters in the country. Shouldered by senior cornerback Corian Gipson and his six interceptions behind a steady, depth-filled defensive squad, quarterback Ben Baity and his offense will have all the support they need. This Clemson team is even all throughout their roster. Other than perhaps Georgia, they have the most talented team on paper.
4. Boise State
Record: 13-0
Head Coach: Vern McFarland (24-3)
Impact Player: QB Tavien St. Clair, Rs Jr » 3,984 passing yards, 38 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 862 rushing yards, 4.4 AVG, 6 touchdowns
Case for Winning: The number one most productive offense in the country, averaging 527.8 yards per game and scoring at a 42.1 PPG clip, all thanks to their Heisman candidate quarterback, Tavien St. Clair in his collegiate swan song. His ability to dominate the game through the air, and his ability to do damage with his legs is incredible. Running back Sire Gaines is one of the most elite playmakers in the nation as well, running for 1,194 rushing yards and reaching paydirt 15 times this year. This team will live and die by running up the score and outgunning their opponents.
5. USC
Record: 11-2
Head Coach: Lincoln Riley (72-24)
Impact Player: QB Trey Owens, Rs Sr » 4,496 passing yards, 41 touchdowns, 14 interceptions, 5 rushing touchdowns
Case for Winning: Aside from an incredibly impressive Duke Blue Devils defense, the Trojans had the best defense in the country. They got after the quarterback, and would keep offenses in a chokehold. Their pass rush accumulated 35 sacks and their secondary often locked down opposing numbers ones. Trey Owens has done wonders since transferring over and was in the early Heisman race until his turnovers and early losses for USC had his campaign bottom out. When it comes to a pure aerial attack, Owens might be rivalling the likes of Bryce Underwood from Pittsburgh or Tavien St. Clair from Boise State.
6. Tennessee
Record: 11-2
Head Coach: Jon Sumrall (11-2)
Impact Player: EDGE Jordan Ross, Rs Sr » 46 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks
Case for Winning: Another vaunted defense that dominated in the SEC, winning many key games throughout the season. They narrowly loss in the SEC championship game to Georgia and will get an opportunity to get after it against the Texas Longhorns. Their defense is suffocating, picking up 45 sacks behind the exceptional play out of pass rusher Jordan Ross. An interesting statistic is that they have a +14 turnover differential - good for being tied for third in the country (behind UAB's +17 and +15 from Louisville, Kentucky, and USF).
7. Florida
Record: 9-3
Head Coach: Billy Napier (57-33)
Impact Player: HB Dexter Bigsby, Jr » 231 carries, 1,257 rushing yards, 5.4 AVG, 13 touchdowns
Case for Winning: Florida decided to run their offense behind star running back Dexter Bigsby and largely had a successful season with a top-25 ranked offense. They were on a strong trajectory after narrowly slipping past USC in Week 1 following that up with two more narrow one-score victories over Deion Sanders' Colorado and Arizona State. A 1-point loss against Ole Miss proved their only loss through nine weeks before Georgia sent them back to Earth. Another loss two weeks later at the hands of Tennessee pushed their firmly out of the SEC title conversation. Now, their defense will have to contain Louisville and star quarterback Bryce Baker. Their three losses came against three teams that are in the playoff picture. Florida is the heavy favorite and should be considered a lot more terrifying than pundits expect them to be.
8. Pittsburgh
Record: 9-3
Head Coach: Pat Narduzzi (114-67)
Impact Player: QB Bryce Underwood, Sr » 4,247 passing yards, 41 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, 387 rushing yards, 3.0 AVG, 6 touchdowns
Case for Winning: Coming to Michigan, Bryce Underwood was one of the most heralded quarterback commits in recent history (possibly since the likes of Trevor Lawrence). After three successful seasons with the Wolverines for him personally, but not for the team, he made his move to Pittsburgh. He stayed his senior season and, despite not getting the coveted Heisman, got Pitt to the College Football Playoff. Underwood is one of the best quarterbacks in the country, leading the second-best offense in the country. They will live and die behind him.
9. Indiana
Record: 10-2
Head Coach: Shane Beamer (10-2)
Impact Player: WR Nitro Tuggle, Rs Sr » 59 catches, 1,005 receiving yards, 17.0 AVG, 15 touchdowns
Case for Winning: Their two losses came consecutively in Weeks eight and nine when both UCLA and Penn State dumped them off - UCLA narrowly by a field goal while the Nittany Lions pummeled them 42-14. A largely easy schedule, the Hoosiers are one of the quieter teams in the playoff picture, but their high-functioning offense can catch a team slipping if they are overlooked. It's a well-spread out attack but senior wide receiver Nitro Tuggle is easily their number one threat. His impressive speed with a 17.0 average per catch stretches the field and takes the top off defenses. He's the ultimate homerun receiver.
10. Louisville
Record: 9-3
Head Coach: Tom Allen (9-3)
Impact Player: QB Bryce Baker, Rs Jr » 3,362 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, 485 rushing yards, 2.9 AVG, 5 touchdowns
Case for Winning: Their loss against Clemson must have uncorked something, because they were were undefeated and allowed SMU to waltz in and take their potential ACC crown right from underneath their nose. Bryce Baker was the Heisman frontrunner before SMU's gallant defense took him to town in a 16-10 loss. Then, they followed that up with a sad showing in a 22-20 upset against NC State. ACC hopes? Poof. Up in smoke. They even sort of struggled to beat a barely .500 Kentucky squad in a 34-23 finale in Week 13. Baker is still walking talking electricity at quarterback and this is still an offense that went over 40 points in three games to start the season, including an impressive 42 against Texas A&M. At any time, they can catch lightning in a bottle.
11. Texas
Record: 9-3
Head Coach: Steve Sarkisian (76-31)
Impact Player: QB Tommy Trout, Rs Sr » 3,153 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, 435 rushing yards, 2.8 AVG, 4 touchdowns
Case for Winning: What's a College Football Playoffs weren't Steve Sarkisian's Texas Longhorns? They did just enough to continue to push their agenda that they are still one of the best rosters in the country even now with former pivot Arch Manning dicing it up in the NFL now. Sarkisian has stuck it out with quarterback Tommy Trout after being interested in top available transfer Tavien St. Clair, and was paid back with exceptional season. Did he set the world on fire like some of the other quarterbacks? No. But, he took care of the ball and helped steer one of the most potent offenses in the country. Drawing Tennessee in the first round isn't the best, but they are competent and an extremely weather-tested squad.
12. Oklahoma State
Record: 10-3
Head Coach: Kalani Sitake (29-11)
Impact Player: SAM Carl'veon Young, Rs Jr » 55 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 10 sacks
Case for Winning: Coming in at the tail end of the table are the hungry Oklahoma State Cowboys, who dominated to get themselves into the show. They are a young, up and coming team with a lot to prove. Some pundits believe they are arriving to the station a season too early, and similarly to the higher-seeded SMU Mustangs, could use some more seasoning before going for broke. They have dedicated themselves to head coach Kalani Sitake vision and will look to smother USC and quarterback Trey Owens with their own relentless pass-rush. Just being here is a good sign for them, and with their dedication to sound defense, they are primed for a Cinderella run themselves.[/font]

I got Talyn with Coastal, but he wasn't that good...definitely not user fault
TOMMY GUN
I see you easing Soaps pain by letting Sky Boy get the dub.
Hopefully Florida beats Louisville so you don't have another rematch against the ACC

Lane Kiffin being Clemson's coach is fucking crazy.
I think you have a good opportunity to make a deep run here with Georgia being in the other half of the bracket.
