Tennessee Holds Off Patriots Comeback Efforts, Score Seventeen Straight in Fourth Quarter
A wonky interception off a screen pass that went off a Tennessee Titan offensive lineman, a dropped touchdown pass from Justin Jefferson and a safety kept the New England Patriots in the game despite being dominated by the Titans, drawing within two points following TreVeyon Henderson's touchdown with twelve minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Cam Ward and the Titans offense responded with seventeen unanswered points to close the game, shutting the door on any potential comebacks and securing the Titans' fourth win of the season with a 34-15 victory over the Patriots on Thursday night.
Ward led an efficient nine play drive following the Henderson touchdown, converting a third and eight with a 27-yard completion to Chimere Dike up the seam and after back-to-back runs from Mark Fletcher Jr. and Damien Martinez that went for thirteen apiece, he found Ja'Kobi Lane for a 16-yard completion to get the ball on the one-yard line where he'd find Lane once again at the goal line on an RPO.
Drake Maye and the Patriots then went three and out, undone by Jeremiah Smith being tackled in space by Zaire Franklin on third down to keep him three yards shy of the first.
After a Brandon Aubrey field goal to extend the lead, Maye and the Patriots were able to sustain a drive, getting the ball to the 45-yard line but on fourth and six, Maye's completion to Tanner Kozlol was once again three yards short of the sticks. Ward then had a completion of twelve yards to Jefferson third and one and Jam Miller ripped off a 22-yard run to make it first and goal at the two minute mark where Ward would find Lane for his second touchdown of the game on fourth and goal.

Drizzy throwing 55 times and losing makes my heart sad. You really couldn't hook it up with JJ?
