Miami records a key conference win after beating Virginia Tech 34-20
The last time Miami Hurricanes fans saw their team inside Hard Rock Stadium, they had just escaped with an overtime win over a Ball State program that will more than likely be fighting for bowl eligibility in the MAC.
It left much to be desired as the Hurricanes entered the season with a ton of expectations and after an improved showing against South Florida on the road, Miami once again showed improvements on both sides of the football in a convincing 34-20 win against Virginia Tech on Saturday night.
Miami began pulling away in the second quarter, responding to Virginia Tech's first touchdown of the night with an eight play drive to score a touchdown with thirty seconds remaining in the first half to extend the Hurricanes lead back to a touchdown.
Virginia Tech's Kyron Drones would get the ball to the Miami 39-yard line with a 23-yard completion to Stephen Gosnell but Elijah Alston's sack would squander the Hokies' chance at scoring before the half as John Love missed the sixty-five yard field goal.
It was all Miami after that as they leaned on their running game led by Damien Martinez (112 rushing yards) and Mark Fletcher (68) as Miami outgained Virginia Tech by 137 yards on the ground, completely controlling the time of possession in the second half and opening up the passing game for Cam Ward who completed 77 percent of his passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns.

Hurricanes secure their quarterback of the class with commitment from Titus Willis
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports Miami Insider
Quarterback coach and offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson snagged a talented signal caller that was coveted by several college football programs with four-star quarterback Titus Willis committing to the Hurricanes.
The 6-foot-1 and 202-pound passer had earned offers from Auburn, Minnesota, Indiana and Louisville prior to shutting down his recruitment and cancelling his upcoming visits to Louisville, Auburn and Minnesota.
Willis is a plus-athlete who does his best work out of the pocket and off script, giving Miami a different type of quarterback to join their quarterback room next year as Emory Williams and Judd Anderson are more of your traditional pocket passers.
Based on his junior film, Willis' all around skillset is impressive particularly his ability to escape pressure and make accurate passes down the field even when off platform. The biggest adjustment for Willis, like a lot of young quarterbacks, is learning to work within a structured offense and limiting the turnover worthy plays.

What's your strategy for finding recruit pics. I usually just Google "city high school football" and find a good Pic for a shool there. I was looking for one the other day and I couldn't find no crackers lmao
