Justin Jefferson's Hail Mary TD before the half proves crucial in Titans win over 49ers
Cam Ward threw for 297 yards and three touchdowns with no turnovers, completing 72 percent of his passes.

And yet, the best pass of the day belong to Jalen Milroe as the Titans backup quarterback launched a 65-yard bomb to Justin Jefferson as time expired in the first half to tie the game and help Tennessee beat the San Francisco 49ers 34-26.

Tennessee would take the lead in the third quarter with a Mark Fletcher Jr. touchdown pass from Ward on a screen pass and never look back, shutting out San Francisco in the third quarter as the 49ers offense stalled, being forced to settle for a field goal with 3:40 remaining to make it 27-20 after a pass breakup by Zaire Franklin on third down.

Ward would quickly add some cushion for the Titans with a 47-yard completion to Xavier Restrepo as he scrambled around in the pocket to buy him some time to get down the field and then had consecutive completions to Jefferson, the last one going for a touchdown for Jefferson's second of the day to make it 34-20 with less than three minutes left.

The 49ers would convert on a fourth and seven with a 38-yard completion to Ricky Pearsall and did score a late touchdown but were unable to secure the point conversion or the onside kick.
