Not even just leading, only one recruiting them

Clemson jumped into a couple races then pulled out. I think I'll overtake Penn State for Genus and get the verbal. If not, I think I can flip him after he commits.

I've noticed this a fair bit with mid-tier prospects. They don't start recruiting them until they're out on the 5*, but by then if you've been doing your job you should be close to getting the verbal

Yeah, I was shocked that Ohio State went that hard behind Trufant to get him to commit this early.
