Chargers Place Henry on IR as Chargers Gamble Busts
The Los Angeles Chargers have placed running back Derrick Henry on injured reserve, effectively ending his season.

Henry, 33, was acquired earlier in the season in exchange for the Chargers 2028 third round pick, a 2028 fifth round pick and a 2029 seventh round pick. The former Heisman winner rushed for a career high 79 yards per game but appeared in just nine games as he spent most of the season on the injury report and ultimately ends his season there.

While the talent evaluation on Henry was spot on as he gave them a much needed big body on short yardage situations, the price simply was too steep for just nine games and none in the playoffs. He's also on the last year of his deal and at his age, he was likely a one-year rental that was more bust than boom.

The Chargers used his roster spot to sign wide receiver Will Fuller V, who was on the team's roster earlier this season and spent training camp. Fuller V gives the passing attack another weapon as D.K. Metcalf is also expected to be back from his injury.

The Los Angeles Chargers were 6-0, coming off a bye week and getting ready for their second primetime game where it was deemed as a 'come out' party for QB Will Castonzo and the Chargers. The Denver Broncos, their opponent that night, was just the warm body that was needed for the coronation.

Castonzo struggled that game, throwing two interceptions and was sacked five times. They would go on to win that game, along with their next four games but since then, the Chargers are 1-4 with a passing game that looks abysmal.

Since that loss, Denver is 7-2, including a 34-27 win over the Chargers at home in a game where Castonzo was hurt and Marcus Mariota had to replace him. Denver now needs to go on the road and get to escape their harsh conditions of Buffalo and instead face off against a very good Chargers defense in a dome. Los Angeles is ranked 7th in total defense, 5th in passing defense, 12th in rushing defense and 7th in scoring defense.

Chargers Return to Winning Form, Advance to AFC Championship Game
For the first time since 2007, the Los Angeles Chargers are going to be playing in the AFC Championship Game.

D.K. Metcalf returned in a big fashion, catching six passes for 143 yards, including a 71-yarder before the end of the first half as the Chargers would go on to outscore the Denver Broncos 28-7 in the second half en route to a 41-24 victory.

Denver took the lead after Metcalf's touchdown with 45 seconds left with a quick strike of their own before the half. The lead was short lived as the Chargers scored on their second possession of the second half and then proceeded to run the football to the tune of 262 rushing yards while the Chargers offense continued to tee off on Broncos QB D'Eriq King.

King was sacked fourteen times but still managed to go 20 of 32 for 296 yards and two touchdowns. His interception, however, helped set up Felix Whittaker's 14 yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

Los Angeles will rematch against the Pittsburgh Steelers after they beat the Baltimore Ravens 24-21.

That's a huge victory for you guys. Good to see y'all in such a good position while the Huskies have essentially fallen apart.

After finishing last year with the best record in the league only to be one-and-done in the playoffs at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens, the Pittsburgh Steelers got their revenge this season, beating Baltimore and advancing to the AFC Championship Game to face the Los Angeles Chargers in a regular-season rematch.

Pittsburgh is a lot more healthy this time around with Jafer Armstrong back in the lineup, giving them a formidable duo at running back with Armstrong and Cam Adkins, who has twelve touchdowns on the season. Armstrong is fourteenth in the league in rushing yards per game and should give the Steelers a boost in the running game that they lacked in their 30-13 loss to Los Angeles earlier in the season. Adkins was limited to just 27 yards rushing in that game.

Steelers QB Brian Petersen will look to further his MVP campaign and have an encore performance after throwing for over 400 yards in their last matchup. Los Angeles does get corner Donovan Bigby back this time around who should aid in that department.

McDonald's Game Winning Kick Returns Punches Chargers Ticket to Super Bowl
Clinton McDonald bounced around the league for his first four seasons, going from practice squad to practice squad, being an habitual habitant of the waiver wire. He found a home in Los Angeles this season after barely making the roster. On Sunday, he found his place in history.

McDonald returned a kickoff for 91 yards and a touchdown with no time left on the clock as the Chargers completed their rally over the Pittsburgh Steelers to advance to the Super Bowl.

The Chargers had taken a brief lead when they finally reached the endzone with 9:22 left in the game to go up 16-11. Pittsburgh responded with a touchdown drive of their own and following a failed two-point conversion, took the 17-16 lead.

On the ensuing drive, Chargers QB Will Castonzo threw his second interception of the day, this time on an errant pass that was returned for a touchdown to make the score 24-16 with 5:36 left in the game.

Los Angeles had to labor down the field, as they had done all game, and took more than four minutes off the clock before Jaron Medlock's touchdown with 53 seconds left in the game with the game seemingly out of hand. A failed onside kick appeared to be the doom of the Chargers but after stopping Pittsburgh on three straight plays and running out of timeouts, the Chargers forced a fourth down.

Instead of potentially rolling out the clock or punting the football into the endzone, Pittsburgh chose to kick the field goal to go up six but left a second on the clock. The rest was history.
