The Long Road to Glory. A Ryne Scott Journey- CFB26
I feel 8-9 is max.. Like you have pointed out there are things that need addressed on the roster.. I like my RB/WR group.. QB's have potential My O-Line is not great but also not horrible.. The D-Fence lacks stars. Reddish (SS) and my LB's are pretty good but might need to consider switching up to a 3-3-5 or even a traditional 4-3 to get Winton on the field I seem to be struggling against the CPU run game.
I played my game against Colorado State and it wasn't pretty.. Which is why I say 9 games max.

TURNOVERS SPELL DOOM FOR DEVILS!!!
GAME RECAP
Coming off a Top-25 win on the road expectations were high for ASU Fan's and for Coach Scott as the Sun Devils returned home to host Colorado State in Week 2.
However turnovers would quite the crowd early as Colorado State jumped out to a early (10-0) lead in the 1st Quarter and extended it to (17-0) midway through the 2nd Quarter before ASU finally found the endzon as Tollenson finds his TE (AJ Ia0 for a 11 yd score to make it (17-7) at the half.
Part of the Sun Devils 1st half struggles and 2 turnovers were also tied to the fact that starting RB Dylan Riley left the game early recording just 4 carries for 26 yds (6.5 avg).
Despite trailing, ASU tried not to completely abandon the run game as Derrick McFall scores on a 13 yd run to cut the lead to (17-14) midway through the 3rd Quarter but Tollefson's 3rd INT of the game would lead a Colorado touchdown as the Rams extend their lead to (24-14).
With Tollefson struggling, former New Mexico Aggie QB Nick McGraw would get his first action as a Sundevil but it was mixed results for McGraw as well. as he throws 2 INT's and turns the ball over on downs in the 4th. ASU would hold the Rams to another FG making it (27-14) before McGraw would lead a 80 play drive that ended with a Jaylen Brown 5 yd touchdown run to make it (27-20)... Scott decided to go for it though but the 2pt play is dropped leaving ASU trailing by 7 midway through the 4th. CSU would extend their lead to (35-20) with about 3 minutes to play in the game. McGraw would complete a nice 37 pass play to JR WR Cory Butler JR for the biggest play of the game but McGraw's 2nd INT would kill the scoring drive as the Rams come up with the INT in the endzone.
ASU had 1 more series on offense after burning all 3 timeouts to get the ball back with 41 seconds to play but a trio of drop pass's would end any type of comeback. FINAL SCORE COLORADO STATE-35 ARIZONA STATE-20
KEY PLAYERS

DEFENSE SAVES THE DAY!!!!
GAME RECAP
Arizona State jumped out to a early (14-0) lead as SO QB Michael Tollefson throws a pair of touchdowns (18 yds to B. Jones and 21 yds to D. McFall) but his INT struggles returned in the 2nd Quarter as TCU battles back to make it (141-13) going into the half. Tollefson's struggles continued in the 3rd and Coach Scott had seen enough as he brings in Nick McGraw hoping the change at QB would light a spark. The plan didn't work as McGraw struggled with multiple miss fires resulting in back to back punts and the Sun Devils 2nd turnover on downs. Still holding onto the 1 point lead going into the 4th ASU would add a 42 yd FG to extend their lead to (17-13) with under 4 minutes to play, but the new look Sun Devil Defense continued to keep the Horn Frogs in check as TCU manages just 247 yards of Total Offense and just 60 yds on 24 carries as they go 3-18 on 3rd Down. Still lead (17-13) with under 2 minutes to play Arizona State would add to their lead as FB Braylen Russell takes the handoff and goes 7 yds for the score making it (23-13) with 1::18 to play.. ASU would leave the offense on the field for the 2pt play but failed to convert but TCU would run out of time as the team was out of timeouts.
FINAL SCORE ASU-23 TCU-13
KEY PLAYERS
QB M. Tollesfon-19/37 (51%) 186 yds 2 TD 1 INT, 111 yds rushing
QB N. McGraw-9/20 (45%)) 96 yds
RB D. Riley-22 carries 116 yds (5.3 avg)
RB D. McFall-3 carries 11 yds, 4 rec 35 yds
FB B. Russell-5 carries 24 yds 1 TD
TE A. Ia-3 rec 57 yds
WR C. Butler Jr-7 rec 78 yds
WR I. Canion-5 rec 51 yds
WR B. Jones-5 rec 42 yds
IMPACT FROM THE GAME
Well the Offense Struggled , the new look 3-3-5 Defense played well as TCU finished with 60 yds rushing and 30 yds of that came on 1 play.
On a positive note, Riley stayed healthy the entire game and recorded a 100 yd+ gaime.
QB Struggles concern me. Tofllefson started strong going 8/10 with the 2 TD's in the 1st quarter but then went 11/27 . McGraw was 4/4 in hist first series in the 3rd Quarter but completed just 5/16 to close out the game.

ASU ROLLS OVER REEELS IN WEEK 5!!!
Coach Scott has officially ended his winless streak against the Rebels. Scott took loss #1 against the Rebels in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and then went 0-2 against them in the regular season and Mountain West Championship last season..
ASU took the early (7-0) lead and dominated UNLV with a trio of touchdowns in the 2nd Quarter to take a commanding (28-7) lead into the locker room. The Rebels only bright spot of the half as a 97 yd touchdown run by Kamaran Williams (85 ovr).. For ASU QB Michael Tollefson bounced back from back to back games where he struggled as he throws (4) 1st half touchdowns including a pair to both Isiah Canion (13 yds and 12 yds) and Cameron Butler (14 yds and 12 yds).
Tollefson wouldn't have a perfect game though as he did kill a drive in the 3rd Quarter but the Defense saves the day picking off UNVL QB John Clauss (70 ovr) twice setting up a John Fumagalli for a 46 yd FG as ASU extends the lead to (31-7).
Tollefson bounced back with another pair of touchdowns in the 4th including a 68 yd bomb to Butler as he scores the hat trick, but ASU wasn't done. A 3rd INT of Class set up a the first of 2 Dylan Riley touchdowns. UNLV would add a score in between as Clauss finds Tyler Salaam on a 16 yd score and then after Riley scored touchdown #2. Clauss went back to the air and found SR WR Rashawn Jackson (74) for a 28 yd touchdown for the final score of the game.
FINAL SCORES ASU-59 UNLV-20

DEVILS LOOKING DANGEROUS!!!
The Arizona State Sun Devils look like a completely new team after their Week 2 loss to Colorado State.. Losing star Defensive Tackle changed up the Defensive from a 4-2-5 to a 3-3-5 and since the chance ASU 39 points over the past 3 games including holding #19 Texas Tech to just a pair of FG's.
ASU lead (7-0) at the end of the 1st and (21-6) at the end of the half as QB Michael Tollefson fires a 16 yd strike to Cory Butler Jr and runs for another score (16 yds).. Tollefson would set up the 16 yd run with a 51 yd run on the game drive as the Redshirt Sophomore starts to use his running ability to give the Sun Devils a new offensive weapon.
Tollefson despite (2) 2nd half INT's continued to look impressive in the 2nd half leading the Sun Devils on 5 more scoring drives using both his arm (over 300 yds) and his feet as he leads the team in rushing finishing with 115 yds on 6 carries.
Riley who already had 1 touchdown in the 1st half would add 2 more in the 4th to finish with the hat trick on the day as Arizona State goes back to back games with 50 points or more.
