Make AFC AJAX Great Again

I like the Ramirez signing there. A very "Ajax" thing to do, signing someone young to make a name for themselves in Europe. Never heard of the fellow, but he does look well suited for Ajax. A young Lisandro Martinez perhaps.

Solid start to the new season. 8-1 win, that's crazy. Still some way ahead to match the 13-0 win a few years ago, but it's still early days ;) Bringing a few of your academy prospects up could really help you in time. What have they been eating at your academy? 93-94 potential, 91-94, 90-94, 89-94 and 88-94, this could be another golden generation for Ajax, if they develop as projected. A very promising situation.

Winning builds momentum and breeds confidence. Does not matter the opposition. Points on the board are what matters. Reinvigorated the squad now with a few additions and new head coach. Will be a few hiccups but a real chance to get things back on track now

What a start by Dolberg. Involved in 13 of 20 goals in four games is very impressive.

I always think of PSV as the ‘third’ team of the league. I might be way off but in my head it goes Ajax > Fey > PSV

If that’s the case, they are already putting themselves in a little hole to catch up from.

Yeah and I hope I can bring him in Ajax fashion too. Meaning: one season to get acclimated (rotation, or a loan spell), then another one (or two) to show his worth before selling him off to a big league team for it least tenfold!

That's true: sometimes just creating the right mood, or a good vibe is enough to turn a seemingly mediocre bunch into a winner. That doesn't require a massive overhaul, sometimes one person is enough to make all the other pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

It's still early days. Usually the league takes shape towards the end of the calendar year (halfway through the season). And of big influence is how teams get out of the winter break.

Except for Slavia, that's a pretty tough draw :(

I need double digits to make it to the best 24, so the way I see it: Salzburg and Slavia are must wins, then scratch those remaing four points from somewhere...

If he makes it to doube digits (10 or more), I'd be satisfied...

HONEYMOON SEEMS OVER
After four convincing wins with three or more goals of difference, Ajax had to work for this one... the goal machine hampered somewhat

That is a great draw. Hard as it can get but you face a ton of great clubs. Ajax’s time to announce to Europe that they are coming back.

Well, the good thing is that PSG has made it a habit to play under par in the league phase, only to perform to the peak of their ability in the knockouts. Napoli and Benfica also had poor league phases IRL (so did Ajax tbf), so if that is anything to go by, you should have a chance.
