Hazzard Country- Good ol' Boys, This time meaning Harm

Here we go talking about the 5 most wanted prospects we have which is a yearly feature. We are limited in who we can go after needing top 10 for any preseason targets. We have only signed 1 5* prospect in school history and currently a 3.5* school. After winning the national title Boss Hogg has finally opened up the check book and we can go after a total of five 5* prospects

#5 CB Damian Ojabo - 4* gem
He is #5 on the list as he is the least likely for us to get since we currently sit #4 behind powerhouse UGA. A 6'3 gem CB with 91 speed and 78 zone coverage is our type of CB. We do have him in for a visit week 3 before anyone else so we haven't given up hope just yet.

#4 C / ATH Finau Hufanga - 5* Gem
The 6'2 and 285 pound athlete is likely to stick at C since he comes with 3 abilities including gold quick drop. A 5* gem with 85 acceleration and 79 run block a slam dunk to be a good player. He is from in state (GA) and is in the top 8 stage. We do lead over Miami and Auburn so we will want to get him in for a visit soon.

#3 Timote Uluave - 4* gem
Another one that will be tough to get since he is from California and USC is also after him. A 4* gem which is the raw strength archetype we look for and has 91 strength and 77 run block. A lot of people overlook mental abilities, but he does have 3 of those. He just now got to the top 5 phase so we will look to schedule a visit with some other offense players this week

#2 QB James Leamon - 5*
We have never even signed a 4* high school QB and now we have our eyes set on an amazing looking 5*. He is a elite prospect 16th overall and a dual threat would be perfect for our system. He has the athleticism with 90 speed and 92 acceleration with 91 arm strength so clearly the potential is there. We do lead for him over Ole Miss and Florida and we have the pipeline advantage so we like our chances of getting him. He isn't a sure thing though as a lot of times the athlete QB's don't have the best dev traits and also his accuracy needs some work. He also doen't have any abilities. The other issue is a 5* QB wants to play right away and the top 2 QB's ahead of him are just Junior's. Junior Office could be moved to HB and Cesaro could go pro.

#1 TE Jose Franco - 4* gem
When we said we valued the trenches we weren't lying as our #1 most wanted prospect isn't the 5* fast QB it's a blocking TE. In today's game high school football doesn't make many 4* blocking TEs especially with the limitations Boss puts on who we can go after. Jose isn't just a 4* though he is a gem so is kind of like having a 5* blocking TE. The good news he has just 1 other offer, but it is with the in state TCU where they have the+5 pipeline. Since he is a gem his speed comes in better than most blockers at 77 paired with 83 strength and 73 run block already. A perfect scheme fit for us and would without a doubt be a awesome player to team with our 5* Prosinksi.

5 Honorable Mention

QB Ben Richey = We lead for this 5* QB that's our backup plan to Leamon. He has 95 arm power and 90 accuracy, but isn't as fast. We will not take commits from both 5s.

OG Trent Abraham = 4* with 91 strength and 77 run blocking, we lead big for him

OT Gage Meeks = A 4* gem that we have to beat out in state Washington for

FS Dylan Blank = We badly need youth in the S room, and he is our favorite type coverage. He has 92 speed plus silver robber

DE Isaac Harper = A 5* DE that doesn't look all that great, but he is from Hazard KY so we are going after him.

Yea Leamon with his speed at 6'5 has the potential to be great. I've seen those archetype look like world beaters and then come in and look meh so we will see. The potential will be the key since a lot of times they are just impact. My starting QB is rated 88 so right at the range where he could go pro or come back. I don't see myself benching him if he comes back even if it cost me a 5* QB. He really needs a year of development with his accuracy being pretty low which I could hide in my offense

This is my first time going after the 5* so it will be interesting to see how those play out. Since I don't have that many recruiting bonuses and just 3.5* team. Of those 5 I mentioned I think I'll get the QB,C and TE and lose out on the OG and CB. The OG could go either way I'll need the visit to go well. My next game is a wild one prob the craziest game I've ever played which I'll prob save and post tomorrow.

Prosinski gonna be that guy for you, keep feeding him :yep:

Got some prime prospects, hope you can scoop a handful of them if not all.

Yea Prosinski is going to be my favorite player of this year to the point It could be hard to continue when he leaves. He came along at a perfect time from the real-life side of things right as football season was ending so at the very worst I have to go 3 more years and see his career play out. With the pure possession archetype which is the balanced type there overall typically stays pretty low so maybe I can get a 4th year out of him. At some point this year I'll do a update on his year and more of his potential. I have definitely threw a interception or two trying to get him catches lol

I like the challenge of where I''m at on going after the prospects as a 3.5 school with no major recruiting bonus. I think I get a lot of them, but its not a lock for sure

Game Of The Decade

A major test for Hazzard going on the road to Alabama who has a similar rating in the mid 90's. Backup speedy HB Gossett continues his hot start and goes 50 yards for a TD on the option. They have it 2nd and 1 and our defense bulks up and forces a punt. Gossett wasn't done and has the best PR for a TD we have seen in the early 2nd. We go up 14-3, but it wasn't all good news as #3 CB Dylan Toney breaks his hand. He will miss 8 weeks so should be able to come back for the playoffs. The defense bulks up again and forces a punt on 3rd and 1 and it's still 14-3 in the mid 2nd. We aren't sure what our record is when up 11 at half, but our guess is it's something like 78-1.

They would come out firing in the 2nd half and it's quickly a tie game. We go on one of our signature long drives taking up half a quarter. Tejada uses that 4.2 speed to get the corner and dives in the endzone. We go up by 7 and with just 6 minutes to a go a stop basically ends the game. That stop wouldn't happen as they easily march down the field and tie it with 2:13 on the clock. Everyone knows what Hazzard wants to run the ball and then kick a FG as time expires and escape with a win.

Tejada goes for about 25 yards down to the 25 on maybe the best-looking run of his career. This puts us in FG range so now we just need another first and to make them use their timeouts. We do pick up another first with our power HB George O. The problem was while getting that first the clock stopped twice because of injury timeouts giving them an extra timeout. Uncle Jesse decides he is taking no risks at all and despite about 1:30 on the clock and with them having 1 timeout kneels it. He knows it's not likely to use all the clock, but it should be really close. The plan works we are kicking it with 7 seconds on the clock and are lined up perfectly in the middle of the field. By the time the FG is good and then we kick it shorter on the kickoff that should waste all the clock. A problem though Alabama gets 2 guys in the backfield and blocks the kick. The crowd erupts and we are somehow going to overtime as that kick never had a prayer of getting off.

Hazzard has to shake it off as they are on the field for defense. Alabama has it 2nd and long and surprisingly calls two run plays and we force a kick. Everyone is thinking surely this is how the game ends as we just need a TD to win it. We go power 3 times in a row and they stop it and force us to try an FG. We are nervous as can be about 40 yards with pressure everywhere, but the kick is perfect and here comes double OT.

We score first a short TD run by TE Prosinski, but the 2-point play is no good. They score a TD and now we fill like we are about to lose, but our CB Hassenauer breaks it up and a 3rd OT is coming. Now it's only 2-point plays which is getting tricky as we use play call limits and cool downs. So, a lot of our go to plays we can't use anymore. The CB (Ball) filling in for Toney breaks up a pass, but we can't do anything with it and now it's the 4th OT. Both teams don't convert for this one as Hassenauer breaks up another one and now it's OT #5 (I think). The unsure of what to call and trying to sub in the right HB gets us for a delay of game. We break out the wingbone HB screen and it works. A stop here wins us the game, but it doesn't happen and now its OT #6.

We get called for another delay of game so we sub in our 94-speed backup QB. We call wingbone pa boot which usually will see us keep it with the QB on a run. Even if the DE on that side breaks loose usually with 94 speed he can't catch him. This time he does, and we have to force a pass and it's picked off. They find a WR in the back of the endzone and we lose the wildest game of the decade.

The worst part despite this game being on the road vs a team rated mid 90's. The voters see them as a unranked team so we drop all the way from 1 to 12.

Editor's Note - Just learned a valuable lesson and to wait and copy and paste the video as I hit the wrong button and had to retype this. I also need better handwriting on my notes lol

5 Game Balls
HB Tejada = 16 carries for 137 yards, 1 TD
HB Gossett = 5 carries for 43 yards, 1 TD, PR for TD
WR Brigance = 3 carries for 49 yards, 1 catch for 11 yards (key 4th down conversation)
S Alvardo =8 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 PBU
CB Hassenauer = 7 tackles, 1 PBU (2 key PBU on 2 point plays)
