For sure.. When Hooks and Crum left early and I graduated 2 of my Top-3 WR's I came into the season not knowing how the talent would play out.. I knew I had a 5* QB and a 5* WR taking over and I landed 2 very talented RB's in the Portal who ended up being way better then I could've ever imagined. But the biggest different to has been the INT"s.. The Defense leads the nation with 19. I am not sure if I had 19 combined in my last 3 years.

I agree.. 2 were my fault trying to push the ball to Strong on some deep balls, the other was one of those fluke Defender tipped the ball perfectly to another defender..
I don't know what it is but this year my CB's are making plays on deep ball. I didn't adjust the INT slider but instead of just knocking down pass's my guys are catching them. My Sacks are way down but I am getting a good pass rush on the QB which is forcing early throws.
But yeah come playoff time we might need to see Nate the Great and the Run game a little more.

WEEK 9 TEAM REPORT
With the arrival of Week 9 and another "Bye" Week for the Broncos we take a look at some key things going on with the team.
ROAD TO 1000
Redshirt Sophomore RB Desean Swaim finished 20 yds shy of 1000 last year well at UNC with 203 carries for 980 yds and 14 TD's in 12 games, however this year, Swaim has already outproduced those #'s and has extended Boise State's record of 12 years with a 1000 yd rusher.. Through 8 games Swaim has 212 carries for 1055 yds and 15 TD. despite sharing the backfield with fellow transfer Brian Myers (68 carries 297 yds 5 TD) and converted WR Angel Coker (80 carries 442 yds 7 TD)
Coach Miller
WHERE IS ZENTER?"I was here for Ashton Jeanty's historic season and let me tell you Desean is that good.. If we didn't have A.C. and Brian, I could easily see Desean put together a 2000 yd 30 TD type year."
Former 5* WR Eric Zentner stepped onto the field as a True Freshman in 2031 and produced 88 rec for 1227 yds and 12 TD. He followed it up a year late with 98 rec for 1518 yds and 12 TD again. However with the another former 5* WR (E. Chance) joining the lineup, Zentner is on pace for his first ever sub 1000 yd season as he goes into the final 4 games of the regular season with 30 rec for 379 yds and 2 TD.
Miller
"Z still has plenty of games left to make his mark. We have 4 regular season as well as a potential for the Pac-12 title game and 1-3 playoff games. We got a deep WR room as well as a great TE group and Angel Coker all making plays, so he hasn't been our #1 or even our #2 option at time but it doesn't mean he can't and won't be in some games"
MAKING A STRONG IMPRESSION
SR TE Larry Ika was a Mackey Award finalist last season finishing with 64 rec for 891 yds and 3 TD. So far this season Ika is having another solid season with 31 rec for 464 yds and 5 TD and is currently on the watchlist again, however the player that has everyone talking is the play of Redshirt Freshman Steven Strong.. The former 4* jumped Scott Fowler on the depth chart and is listed as the Broncos #2 TE and is making a strong case to be the starter next season with 17 rec for 241 yds and 4 TD.
Miller
"Strong is another huge redzone threat for us at 6'5 198lbs he has the size and speed that is hard for LB's to stay with and he can dominate smaller DB's in inside the redzone... We love what he is doing this season helping stretch the field (14.2 avg)"
PAC--12 TITLE OR BUST
With UCLA, and BYU currently with 2 Pac-12 loss's and the rest of the standings with 3 or more, it appears that Boise State (6-0) and Arizona State (5-1) have the leg up when it comes to making the Pac-12 Championship game. BSU has played and won 6 straight well Arizona State has played BSU 3 times (2027,2028 and 2030). If BSU can manage to beat either Stanford (road) or USC (home) they are a lock , unless Washington State pulls off a upset in Week 10.
HORSE POWERL
With Boise State's recent run of 4 straight games averaging over 60 PPG, the Broncos once again lead the nation in scoring at (56.8) PPG Georgia is #2 at 48.5, Tennessee is #3 at 483 well TCU and Florida are tied at 4/5 with 47.8
The Broncos lead the nation in Total Offense (5020 yards) Georgia is #2 at 4702 and the Broncos led the nation in in rushing yards with 1844 (V.T. is #2 at 1786, Miami is #3 with 1748and TCU is #4 at 1738).
NO FLY ZONE
BSU still leads the nation in INT"s with 19 (Oklahoma is #2 with 16 and Alabama is #3 with 15).
RS JR Quincy Forrest leads the team, Roland Finely has 4 and Barry Stack has 3 in just 5 games played, well FS Maka Moreau and backup CB Aotoine Killabrew each have 2.
BRONCOS CONTINUE TO ADD 5* TALENT FOR 2034 AND BEYOND
Boise State has landed it's 5th 5* Recruit for the 2033 Class as TE?ATH Finau Bacon (#4 Overall/#1TX/#1 ATH) makes it official. Listed at 6'5 245 lbs from Arlington Texas, Bacon had scholarship offers and visits scheduled with TAMU in Week 11 and Oklahoma State in Week 12 but has canceled those trips.
Coach Miller
Well Bacon is a lock giving BSU a current class ranked #13 Overall and the most 5* recruits of any team (Georgia has 3, Tennessee has 2)"We love Bacon..I mean who doesn't. This kid is a beast.. He has great hands (84 catch, 82 Catch in traffic) and Great speed for someone his size (84).. We got a great TE room but Bacon is a guy we believe could push for a starting role Day 1."
BSU still missed out on 2 other key recruits this week.
4* HB Garrett Loeffler (#47 Overall/#2CO/#1 RB) has signed with Nebraska and 4* SS Ted Magnum (#58 Overall/#6TX/#4 SS) a Green Gem has locked BSU out as he narrows his list to Top-3 with Oklahoma State, TAMU and BYU

BRONCOS HIT TRIPLE DIGITS IN WEEK 10 SHOWDOWN!!
GAME RECAP
Fresh off their Week 9 "Bye" Week, the Boise State Offense demolished their season high 70 points vs Nevada but putting up triple digits against the Washington State Cougars improving to 9-0 on the season and 7-0 in Pac-12 play..
The Broncos opened up the game with a 22 yd touchdown run by Desean Swaim added to their lead with 1 yd touchdown run by Angel Coker and then made it 21-7) as Tobias Barksdale found Taj Carr on a 21 yd score with 1:10 to play in the 1st Quarter.
BSU would add to their lead with their biggest play of the season as Barksdale finds SR TE Larry Ika down the middle of the field for a 91 yd pass and catch to make it (28-7) on the opening play of the 2nd Quarter.
BSU kept the pedal to the medal as Barksdale hits Coker on a 15 yd screen pass to make it (35-7) and then with 4:43 to play Cedric Eagles hits a 21 yd FG after WSU finally forces a 4th down inside the redzone.
BSU wasn't done scoring though as Swaim scores touchdown #2 with a 2 yd tun to cap a 13 play drive still with 2:42 to play in the half. BSU then added a 18 yd score from Barksdale to Zenter with 34 seconds to play as BSU takes a (52-7) lead into the half.
Despite the huge lead Miller continued to pour it on.. Some day Miller is fueled by the fact that the Coach of the Year Award finalist list came out this week and Miller wasn't even in the Top-10 despite leading the Broncos to a perfect record coming off a National Championship.
BSU would score 5 times in the 3rd Quarter including 4 touchdowns on the ground.. Angel Coker got things going with a 64 yd scoring run with 6:17 to play then it was Desean Swaim going 67 yds on what would be his 3rd touchdown of the game but his 1st of 3 in the 3rd quarter as he adds scores of 2 yds and 11 yds to close out the 3rd Quarter and his day.
Leading (87-14) Miller would finally insert this 2nd string offense but that didn't stop the scoring it just slowed things down. With 3:16 to play in the game Nathan "Nate the Great" Exum would hit backup TE Steven Strong over the middle for a 1st down catch but Strong turned it into more as he spun and ran over 3 defenders on his way to a 27 yd touchdown to make it (94-14).. Then with 1;03 to play in the game Brian Myers would score the Broncos final touchdown of the game as he caps off a 10 play drive with a 2 yd touchdown run.
FINAL SCORE BOISE STATE-101 WASHINGTON STATE-14
**Interesting fact. The Broncos managed to all of this without registering a single takeaway. The Defense did however limit the Cougars to 331 yards of Total Offense, (97 rushing yards) and WSU was just 2-18 on 3rd Down and 2-3 on 4th Down resulting in 13 punts.**
WSU Starting QB SR Deron Allotey (81 Ovr) was just 6/19 for 98 yds well backup RS FR Cory Reinbolt (75Ovr) finished 12/29 for 136 yds
KEY BRONCOS
QB T. Barksdale-32/41 (78%) 483 yds 5 TD
QB N. Exum 12/15 (80%) 158 yds 1 TD
RB D. Swaim-36 carries 272 yds 5 TD
RB B. Myers-20 carries 66 yds 1 TD, 3 rec 28 yds
RB A. Coker-13 carries 167 yds 2 TD, 6 rec 87 yds
WR E. Zentner-8 rec 103 yds 2 TD
WR F. Donahue-7 rec 125 yds
WR E. Chance-7 rec 57 yds
WR T. Carr-5 rec 66 yds 1 TD
TE L. Ika-3 rec 110 yds 1 TD
TE S. Strong-3 rec 50 yds 1 TD
**Swaim's 272 yds actually sets a new Boise State school record for most rushing yards in a game and his 5 Touchdowns ties Jay Ajayi who set the record in 2014.
RECRUITNG NEWS
Boise State adds 2 more players to the 2033 class. including this year's QB target..
4* Keegan Biggums (#49 Overall/#1IN/#3 QB) makes it official after being on the sideline and watching the 101 point performance as he locks in a week before making his official visit to Houston who finishes #2.. Biggums also had offers SMU, Pitt and Arkansas.
4* Kenyon Procter (#86/#2INT/#4 TE) a high school teammate of Biggums also is coming... The Duo are best friends.. Proctor is listed at 6'6 and 210 lbs
However BSU didn't get as lucky with the O-Line as they lose out on another top target with OT CJ Ottis (#40 Overall/#6CA/#4 OT) signing with Notre Dame ahead of his Week 12 visit scheduled to South Bend.. Otttis was also in attendance of the Week 9 win but didn't come away as impressed I guess.
Boise State currently still has 18 unsigned players on their Top-25 Big Board including another pair of 5* Recruits in Athlete (projected as a Mike LB) Glenn Hakim (#8 Overall/#2GA/#1 LB) and 5* DE Enrique Shaw (#17 Overall/31 SC/#6 DE).
Hakim also visited BSU in Week 9 and has BSU currently #2 behind Texas who he has a Week 13 visit scheduled with.
Shaw visited in Week 7 and has BSU listed as his #1 but still has a Week 11 visit scheduled with Clemson who is #2 and a scholarship offer from Nebraska who is #3.
