Yeah, that LSU–Ole Miss back‑to‑back pretty much slammed the door shut. We had a path if we stole one of them, but the margin for error was already razor thin. Now it’s about damage control and trying to finish strong.Caesar wrote: That might be a wrap for your CFP hopes.
It’s been a gauntlet, man. Every week feels like running headfirst into another buzzsaw. Title target on the back plus a brutal schedule is a nasty combo — we’re getting everyone’s best shot and it shows.toysoldier00 wrote: Damn the sec is beating up on the defending champs

SEC GAMEDAY — WEEK 11: THE UNSTOPPABLE TIGERS & THE RACE FOR ATLANTA
LSU is now a perfect 10–0 (6–0), the last undefeated titan in the conference. Arch Manning is playing like a generational superstar, Harlem Berry just crossed the 1,000‑yard mark, and the Tigers are steamrolling toward the SEC Championship with the swagger of a team that knows destiny is calling.
But the hunt behind them is ferocious.
Ole Miss sits at 9–1 (5–1), still very much alive and playing its best football of the season.
Alabama has surged back into the picture at 7–3 (5–1), refusing to fade and looking more dangerous by the week.
Florida is right behind them at 8–2 (5–2), still in striking distance.
The middle of the league? Pure chaos.
Missouri, Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma — all battling for bowl position and pride.
A&M, Auburn, Mississippi State — all capable of wrecking someone’s season.
And the bottom tier? Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, Vanderbilt — fighting to stay afloat.
This is the SEC. Nothing is guaranteed.

i was just about to comment that you're back in the playoff picture and not to fuck it up and then you lose back to back games
as frustrating as these seasons can be, does help bring some intrigue and realism into a chise

oof
but like soap said, losing sucks in the moment but is nice when you can overcome it next season to reclaim your title
Wall looked solid in relief

No doubt. We’re competitive, but not consistent — and in this conference that’s the difference between hanging around and actually sitting at the table. Still feels like we’re one good offseason from flipping that gap.djp73 wrote: still a ways to go to be up at the top of the conference standings
Man, the timing was brutal. One second we’re crawling back into the mix, next second the SEC hits the trapdoor button. But yeah, the chaos does make the save feel way more alive — nothing’s handed to you, and every slip gets punished.Soapy wrote: i was just about to comment that you're back in the playoff picture and not to fuck it up and then you lose back to back games

Exactly — this is the kind of season you look back on as the “reset year” before the bounce‑back. And Wall definitely made things interesting. If nothing else, he’s giving me a real decision to make heading into the offseason.redsox907 wrote: oof
