I went three whole seasons without any in-season trades and this man got one every sim.

Why didn’t you call up Caminero instead of signing Longoria?

yeah i tried to find a trade slider like 2K but doesn't seem like there is one.

RE Caminero: while his numbers are impressive, his ratings would have him among our worst hitters and with the season on the brink, wanted a more proven bat to help that post-ASG playoff push. and i also want to make sure he has the best chance at winning ROY with a full season next year :curtain:

The trade frequency slider is the last slider in the sliders.

The cavalry is on the way but is too little, too late for the Rays after disappointing June?
Adam Lemon -- Dynasty Sports Rays Beat Reporter

Two-time All-Star Shane McClanahan has been pitching in simulated games for the past week as he gets ready to return from his 2023 Tommy John surgery, so has Jeffrey Springs who is expected to make his return in the upcoming weeks. This would provide the Rays with two of their top arms in the middle of the season, just in time for the post All-Star Game playoff push but after a disappointing June where the team went 8-18 it might be all for naught.

The Rays slid all the way down to fourth place in the division after entering the month atop the AL East and are now 6.5 games behind the Orioles and four games behind the Mariners for the final wild card spot.

It's not an unsurmountable lead, especially with the return of McClanahan and the Springs, but nothing of the Rays recent form indicates that such a turnaround is likely, especially with the surging Yankees having won eight of their last ten games and the Red Sox (38-46) well within reach to overtake them.

Evan Longoria reunion likely spells the end for 'Junior Cameniro Call Up Watch'
In the midst of their struggles, the Rays signed free agent Evan Longoria, an icon for the franchise. Longoria had a short stint in Durham, playing three games where he batted .417 with an on-base percentage and slugging of .500 before being called up to the Rays' where he's had two hits in nine-at-bats with a home run and two RBIs.

With Longoria likely to spend the rest of the season on the active roster, he has solidified that backup third baseman role with a veteran bat capable of getting on base and driving in runs. This all but guarantees that both Junior Cameniro and Xavier Isaac will spend the rest of their seasons with the Durham where both former first round picks homered last night in the Bulls win over Lehigh Valley.

If the Rays become sellers at the trade deadline, this of course could change but as it currently stands, Rays fans will likely need to wait until 2025 to see Cameniro, MLB.com's second ranked baseball prospect, in a Rays jersey again.
