Summary: This was a battle for Eastern Conference supremacy as Miami and Boston faced each other for the final time in these playoffs. Neither team led by more than four points until late in the game when Miami went up by eight in the final moments.

Antonio Snow still played limited minutes and he was still recovering from his ankle injury, but he was still just as effective. He led the bench in scoring with 13 points tonight. Dwyane Wade was the man of the hour as he got his second start in this series, finishing with 25 points.

Rebounds were the name of the game as Miami grabbed 16 offensive boards, scoring 18 second chance points in the win.

This game was all about hustle and the Heat had plenty of it as they return to the final for the first time in five years.

Dwyane Wade on moving on to the Finals: We’re just soaking it in right now. We know that the job is not finished, we still have to face Oklahoma City. But we’re going to enjoy this moment right now.

Snow on limited activity in Game 7: I told Coach I just wanted to do what I could to help. I promised him if I was on the court, I was giving 110 percent in whatever capacity. My job as the point guard is to lead on the floor. And D. Wade had the hot hand so I’m not going to try and score a lot when he’s on fire. It could have disrupted the rhythm of the game.

Kyrie Irving on coming close and falling short: It stings like hell. When you’re right there on the edge and then you just kind of slip. But Miami battled. This was one series that we knew had the ability to go either way. Respect to them.
