Terrance Walker gets away with a foul as he shoves Daron Holmes II out of the way for an offensive rebound.
PHOENIX — Technical fouls galore tonight in the contest between the Minnesota Timberwolves & the Phoenix Suns. The Suns took care of business & delivered a beatdown on the visiting team, but not without emotions running high - even amid a blowout game.
DJ Porter Sr. was assessed the first technical foul after making an inappropriate gesture towards Wolves' center, Bubba Gruber.
"It was in the heat of the moment." DJ Porter Sr. told DS.net at the post-game press conference. "I've already been told I will be fined.."
"..That's because you were mic'd up.." Tiny Jimenez replied as the two shared a laugh.
Recks Black & Daron Holmes II were both given technical fouls as well after coming face to face. The players were separated & remained in the game. Recks Black did not have a comment after the game.
The star of the night is standout rookie, Terrance Walker, who scored a game-high 23 points & a game-high 15 rebounds.
"He's a superstar in the making." Suns' head coach, LeBron James, said shortly after the final horn. "We all see it in his work ethic every day. He's a special player & we're lucky to have him."
Tonight's win over the Timberwolves pushes the Suns' win count to 17, maintaining their position at 3rd in the Western Conference standings. Phoenix returns to action on Sunday, December 13th as they will host the visiting Denver Nuggets. The season series with the Nuggets is 1 win a piece, with Sunday's contest destined to break the tie.
