Track II: Time (feat. Tavon Cash)
Apart from being an NBA basketball player & a full-time Father, Tiny Jimenez dedicates his time to give back to his fans & to the community of Phoenix when able. Today, Tiny Jimenez is visiting a young kid by the name of Tavon Cash with the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Unfortunately for Tavon Cash, at a young age of 7, has been fighting cancer for the past year.
"Hey, Tavon! I hear you're the biggest Phoenix Suns fan in the entire world!" Tiny said as he walked into the room & took a seat next to the kid.
"No way?! Tiny Jimenez! You're my favorite player ever!!!" the kid exclaims as he jumps head first into a hug with #32 himself.
"I'm here Tavon. & I'm here to let you know that we're all thinking about you. All of the Suns players... Recks Black, Westley Hunt, DJ Porter, Bronny James."
"I can't wait to watch you all tonight on tv! I think it's against the Bulls?"
"That's right! We're playing the Chicago Bulls tonight. I'll have to head that way eventually but I couldn't go to tonight's game without stopping by to see our biggest fan!"
The kid grinned ear to ear, even more than he had been this entire interaction.
"Well before you go, Tiny.. I want you to have something of mine.."
"What's that, Tavon?"
"... Here." the kid said as he sat up straight & handed Tiny a green wristband.
"Just like Shogun Strong when you came back from an injury, I am Tavon Strong!"
"Wow, Tavon!" Tiny said as emotions began to take him over.
"I promise, I'll wear this rubberband every single game I play.."
Tiny then looked towards the nurses in the room.
"You promise you'll play tonight's game in here for him, right?" He asked as they all nodded.
"Then, when I'm all better, hopefully my Mom will buy us tickets so I can see you play in person!" Tavon shouted in excitement.
"All your Mom has to do is let me know when you're better, & I'll do even better than a game, Tavon."
"Better than a game?" His young mind asked.
"I'll introduce you to the whole team!" Tiny responded.
For a young kid who has fought so hard against cancer, his face lit up like it was the biggest day of his life.
"I promise I'll get better as soon as I can, Tiny! I can't wait to meet everyone!"
"Just get better. & I promise you, my teammates will be happier about meeting you than you are about meeting them!"
"No way? Recks Black wants to meet ME?!"
"That's right!" Tiny said.
"I have to head to the arena for tonight's game. Make sure you're watching, Tavon! I'll have this rubberband on."
"Good luck against the Bulls tonight, Tiny!" Tavon said as he hugged his favorite player again.
"We'll be cheering for you!"
"& I'll be cheering for you.." Tiny said as he exited the hospital room.
"What a sweet kid.." He said to his manager that set up the Make-A-Wish introduction for Tiny.
"Make sure we keep up with him, please?"
"Sure, Tiny. No problem. I have the mother's contact information & I'll give it to you after the game tonight."
"Sounds good.." Tiny said as he stared off into the distance in the parking lot.
His time in the NBA is coming to a close, but meeting the young man with cancer who's time is also as sensitive has touched #TheShogunOfNewark's heart ahead of tonight's matchup.
He was last season's MVP also. First time MVP & first time NBA champion. This is Kibaxx's cap. He won ROTY when all of the caps were introduced in the 25-26 season. Dude's always been HIMsashi
