‣ NFL 2027 Regular Season, Week 17 - Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana
(12-4) Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts (6-10)
TEN | 10 | 10 | 7 | 7 | 34
IND | 7 | 3 | 0 | 3 | 13
Titans clinch the AFC South with rout of divisional foe Colts
Indianapolis Colts head coach Kevin Stefanski opted to kick a field goal from the Titans 3-yard line on fourth and one in an effort to make it a two score game after Tyler Warren's 74-yard catch and run, which nearly doubled the Colts offensive output to that point.
Two plays later, Tennessee Titans running back Mark Fletcher Jr. took it 65 yards to end any hopes of another miraculous Colts comeback victory as the Titans would cruise to a 34-13 win over Indianapolis to clinch their AFC South championship.
It was a redemption for the debacle earlier in the season when the Titans were leading by six points with just seconds left in the game and Colts returned a punt for a touchdown as time expired. The Colts only fielded a single punt this time around which went for negative yardage.
Cam Ward opened the scoring with a rollout touchdown to Ja'Kobi Lane and after his fumble was returned for a touchdown to tie up the game, it was all Tennessee after that, scoring two field goals and two touchdowns in the next quarter and a half. Ward finished with 181 yards and two touchdowns, completing 68 percent of his passes. His counterpart Sam Darnold got it going late after being held to 34 yards at the start of the fourth quarter, ending the game with 219 yards and two interceptions, most of the yardage coming in garbage time.
It was a tough day for both offensive lines as the Titans were flagged seven times for seventy yards while Jonathan Taylor for the Colts was held to 3.1 yards per carry and Darnold was sacked four times.

Titans expected to play their starters in season finale against New Orleans
Tennessee Titans head coach Steven Jackson confirmed on Wednesday that all healthy starters will start and play against the New Orleans Saints despite the Titans likely being unable to clinch a bye even with a win and already securing home field in their wild card matchup.
The Titans head-to-head loss to the New York Jets, who are currently the top seed in the AFC, means that even with a Jets loss and a Titans win, the Jets would still be the top seed. The Titans would need both the Jets and the Bengals to lose, triggering a potential tie breaker with the Chargers and Broncos in order to have a shot.
Star receiver Justin Jefferson is on the brink of an NFL record as well and expected to play, needing only 28 yards to break Calvin Johnson's single-season record for most receiving yards. Jefferson has seen a drop in production and usage since his two touchdown performance against Houston, his snaps decreasing from averaging mid 60s prior to week fourteen to the mid 30s in the last three weeks.
"We're managing his snaps and making sure that he's fully healthy and ready to go in the playoffs," Jackson said of Jefferson's availability, "We have a lot of young guys that have stepped up and made some contributions so we're excited about that. [Jefferson] is a big piece of our offense and will continue to be that."
Other milestones on the horizon include Cam Ward, needing one touchdown to reach forty on the season, already a franchise record, and 130 yards to break Warren Moon's record for most passing yards in a season by a Titan/Oiler. Defensively, Rueben Bain Jr. is two sacks shy of reaching double digits, a mark he fell just half a sack short of last season as a rookie.
