McQueen Outduels Queen and Sawalich in Green-White-Checkered Finish for Seventh Win

Logan “Lightning” McQueen III kept his streak alive in spectacular fashion, holding off late charges from Brenden Queen and William Sawalich to capture his seventh victory of the 2025 ARCA Menards Series season in the ARCA 200 at Richmond Raceway.

After qualifying 13th, McQueen methodically carved his way through the field in the opening half, showcasing patience on the long green-flag runs. A late caution on Lap 197 set up a tense green-white-checkered restart, stacking the leaders and giving Queen one last shot at the win.

When the green flag waved, McQueen launched perfectly, clearing Queen off Turn 2 and managing to keep his Chevrolet glued to the bottom through the final corner as chaos unfolded behind him. He crossed the finish line just over a second clear, securing another statement win for Peak Motorsports.

“This one came down to execution,” McQueen said. “We had a great long-run car all night, but that restart, that was all about focus. Brenden [Queen] and William [Sawalich] were breathing down my neck, but I wasn’t letting this one get away. The team gave me everything I needed to finish it off.”

McQueen led the final laps and earned 47 championship points, with Queen and Sawalich rounding out the podium.

McQueen Dominates at Home, Earns Eighth Win of the Season at Bristol

Under the bright lights of his home track, Logan “Lightning” McQueen III delivered one of the most commanding performances of his young career, leading nearly every lap to win the Bush’s Beans 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Starting from the pole with a blistering 16.668-second lap, McQueen avoided a multi-car incident in the opening laps and never looked back. The Tennessee native’s #33 Peak Motorsports Chevrolet was untouchable over long runs, stretching out to a 13-second advantage by the checkered flag.

“This one means everything,” McQueen said. “Bristol’s home for me... I grew up watching races here, then racing here and dreaming about being out there with the big boys one day. To dominate like this in front of friends and family… it’s unreal. The car was on rails. We just hit every mark, every lap.”

The victory marks McQueen’s eighth win of the 2025 season and his second consecutive triumph after winning at Richmond. Brenden Queen finished runner-up, with William Sawalich completing the podium. The result tightened the championship fight, with McQueen closing the gap on Sawalich and Queen heading into Kansas.

Brenden Queen, Driver – Pinnacle Racing Group
“Logan was in another zip code tonight. We had a solid car, but every time we thought we were closing in, he’d find another gear. You could tell this one meant a lot to him — Bristol’s his backyard, and he drove like it. We’ll regroup and try to give him a fight at Kansas.”

The wins are a bit of the outlier. I wonder if you will get better at the road courses. Is there anything car related to help with that or is it just down to it being tough for you?
