Madden/CFB slider testing.

Mode: Franchise

49ers (CPU) - 6
Seahawks (me) - 27

Team Stats
SF: 274 total yards (229 passing, 45 rushing), 14 1st downs, 4/14 3rd down, 2 turnovers, 28:02 TOP
SEA: 365 total yards (212 passing, 153 rushing, 18 1st downs, 7/12 3rd down, 1 turnover, 31:58 TOP

Player Stats
Brock Purdy: 25/39, 268 yards, 2 INT
Geno Smith: 17/23, 245 yards, TD, INT

Kenneth Walker III: 13 att, 66 yards
Zach Charbonnet: 12 att, 58 yards, TD
Christian McCaffrey: 10 att, 38 yards

Christian McCaffrey: 8 rec, 46 yards
Brandon Aiyuk: 6 rec, 73 yards
George Kittle: 6 rec, 95 yards
Deebo Samuel: 5 rec, 54 yards
DK Metcalf: 4 rec, 67 yards, TD
Jaxon Smith-Njigba: 3 rec, 71 yards

Overall:
Maybe closer than the score suggests but it all unraveled for SF in the 4th quarter after Tariq Woolen's pick-six with less than 3 minutes remaining - the Seattle pass rush and secondary did their number of Brock Purdy in this game.

I almost felt the momentum leaning towards SF after two early drives into the red zone, but the Seahawks defense stood tall and ended up surrendering two field goals that were both less than 25 yards, otherwise it would have been 14-0 as opposed to 6-0. We somehow managed to hold the 49ers scoreless after that.

In the 2025 season not much has changed with San Francisco's offensive weapons, though I will say outside of Trent Williams their offensive line is bad (everyone rated lower than 80).

Geno Smith didn't have a great game by any means, but his stat line looked a lot better after completed a 48-yard and 46-yard pass to Smith-Njigba and Metcalf (so essentially 1/3 of his yards came on 2 completions).

Nice game, imo. Do I go back to Seattle for Madden 25? :hmm:

I'm going to throw these sliders into CFB 25 and see how they play. If you have results feel free to post them here too!

Mode: Franchise

App State (me) - 3
Clemson (CPU) - 47

Team Stats
APP: 146 total yards (92 passing, 54 rushing), 10 1st downs, 3/16 3rd down, 2 turnovers, 5 penalties, 27:11 TOP
CLEM: 442 total yards (241 passing, 201 rushing), 21 1st downs, 4/10 3rd down, 1 turnover, 7 penalties, 32:49 TOP

Player Stats
Joey Aguilar: 10/19, 54 yards
Cade Klubnik: 14/25, 241 yards, TD, INT

Phil Mafah: 30 att, 181 yards, TD
Maquel Haywood: 7 att, 32 yards

Antonio Williams: 5 rec, 93 yards
TJ Moore: 3 rec, 64 yards, TD

Overall:
I was actually pleasantly surprised by how well these sliders played in this game. Clemson's dominance really showed on defense as I struggled to gain any yards. At the same time, their offense wasn't overpowered - it seemed like a slow death kind of game to me with the Tigers scoring 20 in the 1st half before turnovers helped them open up the lead in the 2nd half.

In a matchup between 78 OVR and an 86 OVR, this is what I would be expecting.

This was on default penalty sliders by the way, and no adjustments made to auto subs.

There is a change in some other options:

Injuries - 25
Fatigue - 50
Min Player Speed Threshold - 48

I really don't see injuries as often in CFB compared to Madden so I'll keep it as is. The threshold I think I will experiment with.

I had injuries at 58-65 and didn't have a single multi-game injury

Mode: Dynasty

Liberty (CPU) - 24
App. State (me) - 27

Team Stats
LIB: 361 total yards (201 passing, 160 rushing - 5.3 yards per rush), 16 1st downs, 4/12 3rd down, 1 turnover, 3 penalties, 25:34 TOP
APP: 410 total yards (183 passing, 227 rushing - 6.3 yards per rush), 24 1st downs, 5/12 3rd down, 1 turnover, 4 penalties, 34:26 TOP

Player Stats
Joey Aguilar: 23/31, 183 yards, TD, INT
Anderson Castle: 16 att, 118 yards, 2 TD
Kanye Roberts: 16 att, 83 yards
Kaedin Robinson: 5 rec, 45 yards, TD
Michael Hetzel: 5 rec, 60 yards

Kaidon Salter: 14/21, 201 yards, 2 TD, INT
Quinton Cooley: 20 att, 115 yards, TD
Treon Sibley: 3 rec, 49 yards, TD

Overall:
Amazing game to play with it coming down to the last minute. App State struggled to contain Quinton Cooley in the first half who went for 90+ yards in the first 2 quarters but finished with 115. I was able to figure things out on defense and limited Kaidon Salter to 201 yards. After an interception, a read option play went for an 82-yard touchdown by Anderson Castle in the 3rd quarter. These are supposedly two of the best teams in their respective conferences and I think these sliders did a good job of highlighting that. I'll post the sliders shortly.

I think Madden came out with a patch recently. Here's how the sliders performed after that update.

Mode: Franchise

Jaguars (me) - 13
Dolphins (CPU) - 6

Team Stats
JAX: 380 total yards (242 passing, 138 rushing), 10/18 3rd down, 24 1st downs, 3 turnovers, 5 penalties, 37:24 TOP
MIA: 206 total yards (170 passing, 36 rushing), 3/12 3rd down, 12 1st downs, 3 turnovers, 6 penalties, 22:36 TOP

Player Stats
Trevor Lawrence: 25/38, 259 yards, 3 INT
Tua Tagovailoa: 25/35, 215 yards, 3 INT

Travis Etienne: 19 att, 57 yards
Devon Achane: 5 att, 11 yards

Christian Kirk: 6 rec, 71 yards
Jonnu Smith: 6 rec, 53 yards
Tyreek Hill: 3 rec, 27 yards
Gabe Davis: 4 rec, 81 yards

Overall:
The Dolphins offense I'd say is too predictable with them calling a lot of play action passes that could be defended with ease. This allowed me to sack Tua 7.5 times though I hope this isn't the norm across other games. I think the CPU defense has gotten tougher - although I got into Miami territory several times, 3 drives ended in an interception (twice in the red zone). As a team I only averaged 3.7 yards per carry and threw 3 interceptions. If you're on these sliders I would suggest playing a few more games before making any changes. I'd say it's still a good base set to work off of.

Lemme know what you guys are experiencing post-patch for CFB 25

Soapy

Sorry I haven't time to continually test these after title updates, work unexpectedly picking up right before my vacation

I thought it was just me but after another game with a bunch of interceptions, I do believe that EA tuned their game to improve coverage which is resulting in more interceptions, particularly in zone coverage. Guys are dropping in and out of zones quicker in anticipation of incoming routes, which is a good thing but needs to be accounted for with the INT slider and qb accuracy. I've bumped human to match CPU and it was a bit too easy so going to replay a game with it at 10 to see if thats the middle ground. i also turned down both human and CPU ints to 15. I think i had like 20+ interceptions last season as a team which was too high imo
