PAC-12(14) OUTLOOK
Washington State's quest for a Pac-12/14 title just got alot harder with the return of Oregon/USC/Washington/BYU/Arizona State ect... However most experts have the Cougars picked to finish at least 3rd or 4th in the Conference with the majority picking defending Champions Oregon or USC to finish 1/2
THE SCHEDULE
If the new Pac-12 schedule wasn't going to be hard enough, WSU already had on the books a pair of Top-25 matchups starting with #14 Mississippi State in Week 1 in Starksville.. The Bulldogs are coming off a American Conference Championship and a trip to the Semi Finals .
WSU will kickoff it's home opener the following week vs Fresno State in Pullman.
WSU will then kick off their Pac-12 schedule with the Apple Cup in Seattle in Week 3.
WSU will close out non-conference play with another Top-25 road trip as they head to Tuscalossa to take on #25 Alabama.
Washington State will then have back to back "Bye Week's" in Week 6 and 7 before return to the field in Week 8 @ #16 Boise State
WSU will continue another weird trend after finishing last season with 3 straight road trips, WSU will close out 2030 with 4 straight home games.
Week 9 WSU will host UCLA before playing their final road game in Week 10 @ #24 BYU.
Then it's
Week 11 vs #3 Oregon
Week 12 vs Oregon State
Week 13 vs Arizona State
Week 14 vs Utah "Senior Night"
THE ROSTER
QB #5 RS SR Calvin Loyd (83)
QB #6 RS FR Antwan Beaver (82)
QB #9 RS SO Cortez Ottis (79)
Loyd started 11 games in 2029 throwing for 3059 yds with 36 TD and 7 INT well adding 7 rushing touchdowns.
Ottis appeared in 3 games including 2 starts during Loyd's 3 game suspension and passed for 1281 yds with 12 TD and 6 INT
Beaver was a 4* Recruit last season who redshirted but had a great spring and looks ready to push Ottis for QB2 this season and look to position himself as QB1 in 2031
With just 3 QB's on the roster and Loyd set to graduate, look for Moore/Miller to try and land at least 2 High school recruits and likely bring in a transfer portal QB to compete against Beaver and Ottis next season for QB1.
RB #30 RS SR Clint Powell (92)
RB #31 RS SO Morris Owens (87)
RB #20 RS SO Marcell Boulware (84)
RB #35 RS FR Fredrick Anthrop (79)

Owens rushed for 1242 yds with 10 TD last year for Coastal Carolina and Boulware rushed for 1205 yds with 18 TD for Kentucky.. Their additions will allow former 4* Recruit Cedrick Mangum (412 yds 4 TD) a chance to take his redshirt year and then give the Cougars a dominated 3 headed monster in 2031.

WR #85 RS JR Deon Rugamba (88)
WR #88 RS SR Johnny Ivory (83)
WR #1 RS SO Oscar Paul (82)

Ivory had 67 rec for 1039 yds and 5 TD last year for Kansas State. Rugamba who won the Jet Award for his efforts on Special teams becomes the #3. Rugamba recorded just 1 catch last season but he did have 15 rec for 160 yds and 2 TD in 2028.
Paul will battle Lockett and Bartow for the #4/#5 roles well Finger and Dwyer will redshirt and hopefully be ready to step in next season with Ivory graduating and Wayne most likely looking at the NFL draft with a big season.

Pryor a Lake Stevens WA native started his career at Ohio for 2 seasons before transfering to Oregon State last year where he had 20 Tackles 4 TFL and 2.5 sacks. He will look to push all 3 for playing opportunity. However this is a veteran group with 7 of the team's 20 Seniors making this a high priority for the new DC this up coming recruiting season.
