Isaac Brown had himself a game. Damn shame I missed the stream. That customary first quarter defensive breakdown would have hit like crack.

Miami Hurricanes land five-star wide receiver Tyler Rattay
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports Miami Insider

The Miami Hurricanes have pulled off a recruiting coup, securing a commitment from one of the nation’s most coveted wide receivers, Tyler Rattay. The Tampa native, who measures in at 6-foot-2 and 203 pounds, is the No. 7 wide receiver in the 2028 recruiting class and brings elite playmaking ability to the Hurricanes' offense. Rattay, a five-star recruit, chose Miami over powerhouse Alabama to play his college football.

Rattay’s unique combination of size, speed, and polished skill set makes him an immediate asset to the Hurricanes’ receiving corps. While he’s known for his ability to create separation with his sharp routes, his strength in contested catch situations is what sets him apart. In his high school career, he developed a reputation for catching almost anything thrown his way, often outmuscling defenders and excelling in high-pressure moments.

While the Hurricanes have recruited the position at a high level, Rattay adds some much needed length and size to a receiver room that already has plenty of speed. Rattay is the first of a trio of South Florida receivers that Miami is after in West Palm's Max North and IMG Academy's Etinosa Ha.

Three of the nation's best in Vai Ball, Baraka Tejada and Max Massey commit to Miami's 2028 class
Powered by ChatGPT

The Miami Hurricanes have received commitments from three high-impact recruits: four-star free safety Vai Ball, four-star offensive tackle Baraka Tejada, and four-star offensive guard Max Massey. This talented trio strengthens the Hurricanes' 2028 recruiting class, which is shaping up to be one of Miami’s most impressive groups in recent years. With each player ranking in the top 10 at their position, these commitments represent major wins for head coach Mario Cristobal, who continues to emphasize physicality and versatility on both sides of the ball.

At 5-foot-11 and 208 pounds, Vai Ball is ranked as the No. 8 free safety in the 2028 class and brings an ideal mix of speed, instincts, and physicality to Miami’s secondary. A Fort Lauderdale native, Ball chose Miami over offers from Alabama, Florida State, and UCF, citing Miami’s defensive scheme and Cristobal’s vision for the program as key factors in his decision.

Ball’s ability to read offenses and react quickly in coverage has made him a standout prospect. Known for his ability to track the ball and deliver hard hits, Ball is expected to contribute immediately as he learns under Miami’s talented group of safeties.

Baraka Tejada, the No. 5-ranked offensive tackle in the nation, brings size and athleticism at 6-foot-7 and 311 pounds. The Lakeland, FL native chose Miami over Florida and becomes the latest addition to a promising offensive line group. Known for his powerful run-blocking ability and athleticism, Tejada will bring an edge to the Hurricanes’ front line, helping to clear paths for Miami’s ground game while also offering versatility in pass protection.

Joining Tejada on the offensive line is four-star guard Max Massey, who ranks as the No. 5 offensive guard in the class. The Pensacola native, standing at 6-foot-2 and 322 pounds, is known for his brute strength and relentless drive, particularly in the run game. Massey’s decision to commit to Miami over offers from Florida, Georgia, and Florida State adds another layer of depth to an offensive line group that has been a top priority in the Hurricanes’ recruiting efforts.
