Four-star offensive guard Nate Keke commits to the University of Miami
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports Miami Insider
The Miami Hurricanes have landed a big win in the trenches, securing the commitment of Nate Keke, a highly-rated four-star offensive guard out of Village Academy. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing in at 309 pounds, Keke is ranked as the 16th overall player in the state of Florida and holds a national ranking of 138, making him one of the premier offensive line prospects in the 2028 recruiting class.
Keke’s commitment adds another high-level talent to Miami’s offensive line, addressing a key area of focus for head coach Mario Cristobal and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal. With his athleticism, power, and aggressive style of play, Keke brings the kind of intensity the Hurricanes are hoping to reestablish up front.
Keke’s calling card is his physicality and explosiveness. Known as an elite pulling guard, he consistently disrupts defenders in the run game with his speed and decisiveness, creating lanes for his running backs. His blend of agility and brute force makes him especially effective when asked to pull across the line or engage defenders at the second level.
However, Keke's technique in pass protection remains a work in progress. While he has shown flashes of promise, particularly in picking up blitzes and stunts, his footwork and hand placement will require refinement to reach his full potential at the collegiate level. Hurricanes’ offensive line coach Alex Mirabal is known for his ability to develop raw talent, and with Keke’s athletic foundation, the staff is optimistic he’ll evolve into a well-rounded lineman capable of handling both the run and pass responsibilities.

Dual threat quarterback Jeff Beavers commits to Miami, joins offensive lineman Tobias Salaam in Canes' 2028 class
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports Miami Insider
The Miami Hurricanes’ 2028 recruiting class just added a major weapon on offense, landing the commitment of dual-threat quarterback Jeff Beavers from Fort Lauderdale. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 216 pounds, Beavers is currently ranked as the 38th quarterback in this recruiting cycle, but many analysts see him as a high-upside player with the potential to outplay his current ranking.
Alongside Beavers, Miami also secured a commitment from offensive lineman Tobias Salaam out of Tampa, a skilled run-blocker who will add more physicality to the Hurricanes’ offensive line. Both commitments bring Miami to the top ranked class in the country.
Beavers is drawing early comparisons to Miami’s current backup quarterback, Bernie Flowers, due to his scrambling ability and athleticism. He excels at keeping plays alive with his legs, whether to extend a passing opportunity or take off downfield. With a strong arm and an ability to make throws on the move, Beavers has the tools to put pressure on defenses in multiple ways.
While his athleticism and quick-passing acumen are strong suits, Beavers will need to work on his ability to process defenses and make quick decisions in more complex schemes. Miami’s offensive staff believes Beavers has untapped potential as a pocket passer, and with the right development, they’re optimistic he can evolve into a quarterback who doesn’t rely solely on his athleticism to make plays.
The Hurricanes beat out UCF and Florida State for both Beavers and Salaam.

‣ CFB 2027 Regular Season Week 4 - Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn, Alabama
(4-1, 1-0 ACC) #12 Miami Hurricanes at #4 Auburn Tigers (3-1, 0-0 SEC)
MIA | 7 | 0 | 7 | 7 | 21
AUB | 7 | 0 | 0 | 3 | 10
Miami's defense leads Hurricanes to 21-10 win over No. 4 Auburn
Auburn receiver Bryce Cain got behind Miami's secondary on a busted play. Miami senior safety Zaquan Patterson tapped his chest as the defense came off the field, signaling he was at fault for the lone touchdown that Miami would surrendered.
It'd be Patterson to put the nail in the coffin of the top-five ranked Tigers, intercepting Hank Brown with less than four minutes left in the game to set up Isaac Brown's game clinching touchdown in an impressive 21-10 road win for the Hurricanes on Saturday.
Miami's offense made some timely plays when it had to with Isaac Brown converting a third and one midway through the third quarter with a thirty-six yard run. Four plays later, on fourth and goal from the Auburn two-yard line, the Louisville would transfer would catch the ball out of the backfield for the touchdown and 14-7 lead.
A seventeen yard run by Jarvis Durr would help get Auburn to the Canes' side of the field for the first time all game but on third and four from the Miami 36-yard line, Elias Rudolph would record his fourth sack of the day and force the Tigers to settle for a field goal.
It was a breakout performance from Rudolph who didn't get the start but replaced usual Elias Williams after an early offsides penalty from Williams on third down.
