The Mis-Education of Noah Baldwin (2027 - ???)

(5-3) New Orleans Pelicans | 18 | 25 | 12 | 25 | 78
(7-2) New York Knicks | 24 | 22 | 14 | 32 | 92
Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
NEW YORK (AP) The New York Knicks got their first look at the New Orleans Pelicans and their rookies, Dean Cotton (12.2ppg) and Jace Ryan (7.9ppg). Devin Booker was on a heater early, scoring 15 of his 22 points in the first half. The Knicks had some separation in the first quarter, but New Orleans was quick to close the gap, going on a 10-2 run with Noah Baldwin and Chet Holmgren on the bench, finding themselves down by three points going in at halftime.
Will Conroy, Jr. could feel the game slipping away in the fourth quarter and let his frustration show in the fourth quarter when he fouled Noah Baldwin, who still managed to score the layup and get the following free throw. Baldwin scored 16 of his 33 point in the fourth quarter to push New York to their 7th win of the season. New Orleans shot under 40% from the field in the loss.
Noah Baldwin on his performance: Not my best effort. I had like 15 in the fourth quarter. It shouldn’t have been that close. I’m glad something was able to click, but I hate when it takes that long.
Will Conroy, Jr. on late foul on Baldwin: I mean, we were in it until we weren’t. He just started going off and it’s like nothing we can do. And then I’m playing like s—t. It just spilled over.
Jace Ryan on Noah Baldwin dunk: I’m gonna play my game, I do my work in the post. But maybe I reveled in the dunk a little too much. I could kind of see like Herb and the guys giving me this look. I didn’t know what it was about, but then maybe two plays later, he elevated on me.

The Mis-Education of Noah Baldwin (2027 - ???)

(3-11) San Antonio Spurs | 15 | 23 | 18 | 25 | 81
(11-2) New York Knicks | 20 | 29 | 23 | 19 | 91
Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
NEW YORK (AP) Coming off the third seed in last year’s playoffs to only winning three games so far this season, the San Antonio Spurs have has gotten off to a rough start. They pulled into New York, currently in the midst of a five game losing streak, with their last loss coming to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Brandon Ingram tried to carry the load for the Spurs early, but New York was getting too many easy buckets, as they pushed to a double digit lead at halftime. Andre Iguodala II got off to a very slow start, not scoring his first basket until late in the second quarter. He finished with 21 points. Devin Booker had 10 points in the third quarter as the Knicks continued to push their lead in the third quarter. Then it was Noah Baldwin’s turn, as he had 10 points in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Fatigued seemed to set in the for the Knicks, but San Antonio was too far behind to close the gap.
Coach Stephen Silas on play from Knicks’ bench: That’s the type of production we like to see. They scored almost half of our points. That’s what we want.
Brandon Ingram on San Antonio’s early struggles: Fortunately, it’s still early. We’re just trying to keep our heads up through this rough patch. It’s tough losing games like this. We exerted a lot of energy coming from behind. A few more shots and it could have gone the other way.
Devin Booker on the win: They were hungry for a win. We could tell, especially in that fourth quarter. We weren’t gonna let them feast here though.
