Philadelphia, PA- From the opening puck drop, the Philadelphia Flyers(2-1) were under sieged by the San Jose Sharks onslaught.
"That was something we talked about for tonight. We wanted to have a fast start and get to the net quickly." Sharks Captain Joe Pavelski said.
Rebounding from a 2-1 loss to the Islanders last night, San Jose(3-1) responded by jumping all over Philadelphia inside the Wells Fargo Center Tuesday night.
"It was just awful. I have no other words to explain it." Flyers Head Coach Dave Hakstol stated.
From the puck drop it was all San Jose. The Sharks got to Flyers Goalie Carter Hart early and often. San Jose(3-1) took a 1-0 lead when Rookie JJ Hart scored his first NHL Career Goal. Kevin LaBanc(2) added another to make it 2-0.
By the end of the 1st Period, San Jose held a 2-0 lead, and the Flyers had just 3 Shots on Goal.
"Personally, that first period is what doomed us." Hakstol stated. The Fans booed hard inside Wells Fargo Center.
In the Second Period, Justin Callahan picked up an Assist passing to Evander Kane who beat Carter Hart to the net for his first of the year.
"I took yesterday's loss a little personally." Kane stated. "I wanted to make sure we had a fast start tonight. Always hard to win on the road when you don't play your best Hockey."
Pavelski was called for Hooking handing Philly their first Power Play on the night. They failed.
"I thought that was our best game this year." Sharks Head Coach Pete DeBoer said.
The wheels fell off for Philly in the Third Period.

Tomas Hertl's pass to Kane for his second of the night handed the Sharks a 5-0 lead. JJ Hart's Tripping penalty handed the Flyers their second Power Play opportunity of the night. San Jose didn't back down from the Man Advantage scoring Evander Kane's Hat Trick when Joe Pavelski found Kane.
Down 6-0 with 9 Minutes left in the game, Flyers Head Coach Dave Hakstol pulled Carter Hart. Hart finished with 20 saves as the fans booed.
"I feel for them. We were just bad." Hart added. Backup Goaltender, Ben Elliot finished with 5 saves.
