That's a big win over Newcastle in the top four. Who is the competition for the title this season? Arsenal again?
I'll do a league table again when I hit January but it's Liverpool. We're 9 points clear of them though.

I like the new layout. Short description of the picture gives insight on the game then lineup, stats and key events. Simple but tells the story.

Midseason Update - January 1st, 2027

Image
United have a refreshed and deep squad ready for the season.

As the calendar turns to January 1st, 2027, Manchester United sit firmly in control of the Premier League and look every bit like champions in waiting. After 19 matches, United lead the table with 50 points, opening up a 10-point gap over Liverpool and establishing a pace that puts them firmly on track to become centurions once again. The numbers are staggering: 72 goals scored, just 15 conceded, and a +57 goal difference that underlines their dominance.

Rasmus Højlund has continued his rise into the elite, leading the Golden Boot race with 17 goals in 18 matches, while the supporting cast has been just as devastating. Alvaro Carreras has transformed the left flank, topping the assist charts with 13, with Alejandro Garnacho and Takefusa Kubo providing constant creativity behind the striker. Defensively, Lucas Perri has anchored the side superbly, already posting eight clean sheets.

With Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea already drifting, United’s biggest challenge may be sustaining their own standards. If they do, a second consecutive title, and possibly more in other competitions, is surely in reach.

Hell of a first half of the season! Was worried to see the 2-2 v Spurs but the win over Liverpool might be an early nail in the coffin. Insane to see Hojlund top scorer, but he is very good in game. And now IRL apparently, he is playing really well for Napoli.
