Restoring The Legacy - Mississippi State (CFB 26)
Yeah we got App State on deck next if we put that game away then I think we get a bowl. That means we need to take care of App State and try to defeat a weakened rival on the road.
Yeah, there were some chances to do that but I tried to bleed the clock, this was eerily reminiscence of their loss against Texas in real life this year.
So close but it hurt real bad.
BUT WAIT THERE'S MOREShireNiner wrote: ↑10 Jan 2026, 21:03Tough loss, blew a two score lead then dropped the conversion. This team is cursed with bad luck.
I couldn't believe it, he was completely wide open too. QB was rushed and on the run and just didn't have the accuracy to make the throw to a wide open guy.
Yeah it was tough but on we go to the next one!
I was, he was completely wide open.
These fans gonna get PTSD from this team.

A'marion Peterson to miss last two games with ankle injury
Rob Stock – Bulldog Report

A'marion Peterson runs the ball against Vanderbilt
The old saying goes "when it rains, it pours," and the football team at Mississippi State is certainly feeling that reality. After losing quarterback Kamario Taylor for the season due to academic ineligibility, the Bulldogs have found another hurdle to overcome. Starting running back A'marion Peterson has been ruled out for at least two games with an ankle injury that was suffered in the loss against South Carolina.
Peterson has been the steadying presence for the Bulldogs' offense this season. He is the top rusher with 1,158 yards on 190 carries with 7 touchdowns, and also the top receiver with 363 yards on 31 catches with 3 touchdowns. Only Cam Thompson has more receiving touchdowns with 4.
Next in line for the role would be redshirt freshman Kolin Wilson, but he suffered a torn pectoral against Auburn and will be out for the season. That leaves sophomore Xavier Gayten from Brookhaven, Mississippi, to step into the starting role. Gayten has struggled in his appearances so far, with only 13 yards on 8 rushes. Freshman Rodney Nicholson is also in the rotation for getting carries, but that is the extent of the Bulldogs' depleted running back room.
The Bulldogs have Appalachian State at home this upcoming week. The lack of presumable Doak Walker Award finalist A'marion Peterson will be a hole for the Bulldogs' offense, but the improved play of quarterback Luke Kromenhoek should be enough to carry the team to a victory and set up a game against rival Ole Miss that could be a game to determine if the Bulldogs will get a bowl game.

At least whenever someone is feeling bad about their season, they can come here to feel better. This team is jinxed.

Tough loss there. Would've gone a long way to getting to a bowl to win that one.
