Getting To Know Me
I’m 43 so the age where I can say I’ve played every college football video game ever created. I’m a diehard college football fan and this game was my #1 game since it debuted in the 90's. I’m a OCD level recruiter and roster management type. The type that’s writing down notes and thinking about my recruiting class while in church. Since I bought a PlayStation portal and can check stuff while at work this is a dangerous combination. I've prob been a member on OS for 20 years. If you follow the other threads you know I’m very active and all in on this game.

Posting Style
I like to post something every day during the week using a lot of pics and off the field storylines with short articles. My grammar isn’t going to be the best and my photo making skills are mid. I rarely will post game preview. In years past I’ve done some NBA 2K stuff on here and the last has top 25 all time views for that section. I will be doing less game recaps and more league wide, story type stuff which I'll get into later.

In Game Backstory
I'll fill in a bit of a backstory, but nothing as detailed as last year with Billy Napier

YouTube
I have a small YouTube channel that is monetized however it has nothing to do with sports video games. Don’t worry this isn’t just something to get everyone to watch videos as my coverage on the forums will be the majority of what I post. But I do want to use it to fill in the gaps because some things like showing off my 35-man recruiting board. It's just going to be easier to make a 8-minute video then typing out all 35 prospects. The plan is to use it as a companion piece for what I post here. Last year I would save a few highlights per year and add those to the bottom of the posts.

Team builder / Custom Conferences
Team builder will be a major part of what I’m doing and I’ll be hand created 13 teams and all but one will be in the Sunbelt. I went with more crazy and fun teams then realistic ones like North Dakota. You will see a lot of southern type teams from TV shows. All of the teams are stuff I’m personally passionate about. In general, I replaced the boring teams that have been around for a long time. With so many southern teams I picked teams in the general area of the new team. I don't plan on touching any of the major conferences for at least 1 year, but do plan on bringing back the pac 10. I'll go more in depth on the conference before I get started. While they may seem like a fantasy style it's really not as 12/13 teams I keep the roster. There is one team that's a heavy weight with elite roster and two more 2.5* with the others 1*

Scheduling Out of Conference
I would like to have one or two tough OOC game on the road against a top 25 team both rankings and toughest places to play. However, that’s not a given as I want to keep those open for story telling purposes. I want to schedule teams where recruits that don’t pick me or teams with my old players on them. If you have a favorite team let me know and maybe I can schedule them as I want to make this fun for everyone.
What's new from Retro Redemption's Powerbone Thread?

Less In Game Recaps
I like to play 2 games a night, and I update this at work and I can't while I'm at home since I just use a tablet. I can quickly get behind and posting 2 game recaps everyday can quickly create a backlog when I miss a day especially on the weekends. This allows me every 3rd day to post one article about game recaps and not feel like I have to post before I can play another game. Another thing is the game recaps are the least fun part for me. As I look at this like a diary of sorts and I can look back and check the history. I will still do deeper posting of games for the big ones.

More League wide / conference talk
With less game recaps it will allow me to go more in depth with not only my team. Other news happenings as I want to talk more about the conference, transfer portal recruiting and all of that stuff for the league. One reason is all of this helps me learn and get invested more into other teams outside of just mine.

Coach Mode
My plan is 2 games a year I have to just watch the games and can't jump in. I'm toying with a 3rd game, and it must be play the moments If you haven't done this it adds a whole new level of stress even more than just playing. I know the results can be goofy, but this should make it more difficult to win as the CPU hates my offense lol

Faster Coach Progression
Last year I went to slow with coach progression, so I didn't get to experience and missed out on a lot of them. With 100 levels no way I will reach that unless it's just normal. i also have 100 pre order bonus points so I'm thinking of a way to spend those a little every year or after I do certain things.

No Job Moving
This is my school for it all as last year when I jumped it felt like I was starting over year 4.

Recruiting
Last year I went way to hardcore with recruiting limitations with going like 2* only for way the majority. I checked team rankings, so I'll be more flexible with signing 3* even year 1. I'll still have plenty of in-house rules to make this is a challenge and not cheese. In fact, I had 0 career 4* snaps on my offense when I retired.

Powerbone Offense
It's back my old school smash mouth 80% run offense. This is the core to everything I do

Catchup
This is one I've been posting on Operation Sports so it's not a new dynasty. I'm obviously not going to go back and post 177 things at once so will just kinda pick up where I am now and try and fill in the major info

HB Branson Robinson
Years Played = 25/26
Career Stats = 2,200 rushing yards, 30 TD
Awards =None
3 Best Skills = 92 acceleration, 91 break tackle, 90 trucking
NFL = 4th round
Records = Had the career rushing TD of 22 for about a decade and also the career record for a while.
Summary = He was here for 2 years and gets bonus points for helping pave the way for Hazzard during the transition years. His 22 rushing TD senior season held until it was broke in 2033. A power back that wasn't just a TD guy had 2,200 yards during those season and did it behind a OL that wasn't highly rated.

DE Adam Kissayi- (83 ovr)
Years Played = 26 to 28
Career Stats = 126 tackles, 70 TFL,34 sacks
Awards = None
3 Best Skills = 88 accel, 87 finesse move, 89 pursuit
NFL = None
Records = season and career sacks
Summary = While he may have not had the skills that got him drafted, he was an amazing productive pass rusher and holds the sack records. A 6'8 pass rusher that rewrote the record books with 34 sacks in just 3 seasons. His 15-sack season still holds today.

DT Nnamdi Ogboko - (87 ovr)
Years Played = 26 to 28
Career Stats = 95 tackles, 67 TFL, 19 sacks
Awards = None
3 Best Skills = 96 strength, 97 block shed, 90 power move
NFL = 5th round
Records = None
Summary = He was in the first portal class we got and also gets bonus points for making those early years fun and impactful. A massive 6'4 and 346 pounds many thought he was just going to be a run stopping NT and that wasn't the case. Despite not being able to outrun a turtle he had 19 career sacks. He made our run defense elite as well.

TE Walter Matthews (81 ovr)
Years Played = 26 to 28
Career Stats = 110 catches, 1,259 yards and 15 TDs. 2 rushing TD's + All kinds of pancake blocks
Awards = All Conference
3 Best Skills = 94 jumping, 79 run blocking, 88 accel
NFL = None
Records = season and career TD for receiving that still stands as of 2033
Summary = TE's that are 6'6 and 276 pounds aren't supposed to be able this athletic while being able to block. He had the blocking ability like gold outside shield and was one of the best run blockers in the country. He could also catch passes and hold record as well. The only knock on him was he did drop some passes. He was the most beloved TE with his size blocking ability and traits like 88 accel and 94 jumping.

LB Avery Parker
Years Played = 26 to 30

NFL =None
Records = Held basically every passing record and nearly all the rushing records
Summary = A legend a 4-year starter that was a dynamite runner and his 1,500-yard season is still the record as of 2034. He was a explosive athlete and the run game was so good he rarely even had to throw the ball. He still managed 5K+ yards and 47 TD since he was a 4-year starter. We aren't sure if anyone will ever top him as the best player in school history as the 5* type athletes likely won't hang around to start for 4 years.

Awards =None
NFL =4th round
3 Top Skills = 99 pass block, 96 run power, 99 lead block

He gets drafted in the 4th round and while his run blocking was only 89 made up for that with gold ground n pound and platinum inside shield. Before we were going after 4* he came to us and played like one and paved the road for others.

Hazzard Country- Good ol' Boys, This time meaning Harm

Welcome to Hazzard

The world of College Football is always changing this year more than ever as we have 1 brand new team and 12 rebranded existing teams. This will make the sun belt aka the fun-belt true more then ever. Everyone is chasing the clear cut #1 powerhouse the one new team we mentioned the Minnesota State Screaming Eagles. Most of our attention will be on the team from Hazzard

Now that it's legal to pay players and with so much money being made in college football that caught the attention of ol Boss Hogg. Not that him paying players under the table would ever stop him. He saw the chance to make a bunch of $ and bought the entire university Georgia State and moved them to Hazzard. If you aren't aware Hazzard is located in Georgia about a hour or so from Georgia State's campus. His plan was to pay a bunch of players and instantly make Hazzard a powerhouse where 100,000 fans would come visit since he owns about all the town. Just like most of Boss's plans that didn't work out and Hazzard will start off all the way at the bottom as a 1* school

Uncle Jesse Duke will be the head coach, and he is a master motivator and when he speaks everyone listens and follows him. He might not be a great X/O guy but that's where the OC/DC comes in. Uncle Jesse is motivator, highly respected and known for dropping wisdom on anyone that will listen. He brings old school values to the team and they don't make them like Jesse anymore. Those old school values is why Hazzard will install the "Powerbone" offense made famous by friend Billy Napier at Army and Kennesaw State. The meaning harm part of this comes from the smash mouth, run heavy power run offense.

Since Boss Hogg owns the school then he will play the role of GM with his partner in crime Rosco the assistant GM. This means Boss has the final say and his evil ways are almost a lock to create controversy with Honest Uncle Jesse Duke. Even though Boss an Uncle Jesse were enemies they would occasionally work together for the greater good and this will be one of those times. Even though Jesse is the head coach, it's Boss who will get the fame and attention and on the cover of everything. Also, if you aren't aware the bootlegger name comes from the past life of the Duke's before getting in trouble with the law.

Thanks glad to be here, I haven't spent a ton of time yet figuring out the differences between here and Operation Sports. It does seem like it will be cool getting a reply here and there. It may take me some time to figure out some of the details

I'm the only person crazy enough to create a whole conferences of teams built around old southern TV shows. I have teams from old shows like Andy Griffith, Green Acers, Hee Haw, WWF wrestling, Coach and several more around cities like Pigeon Forge. I was worried I would get caught with the copyright stuff. All of them are up for download, but its such a niche thing I think 3 is the most downloads I got. Even though my Minnesota State should definitely have more.

DUKES OF HAZZARD LEGGO

I like to make it a challenge on winning a title so it didn't happen till year 2033. I got a unicorn of a prospect I just signed so him alone will get the fire going to win another title or two for the next 3 years
